It hasn't been this colorful in so very long.Warmth is returning to the cement sidewalks, children born in the years of darkness are shielding their eyes in shock, and those who remember when last the sun had come are shedding tears of joy at the sight of green hills in the distance. The birds are flying higher above the city of Occam than they have in a long, long time.Everyone is outside now, the streets abuzz with clamor.Usually, the city's people would be in buildings of steam and neon, where the light was kept in jars, never taking note of the (to be fair, unchanging) state of the sky.Because of this, of course, it is a strange time in Occam. The lights of the city, under their usual darkness, would be vibrant and rich in tone, but the shine of daybreak renders them nigh unnoticeable. Those colors had previously made the ordeal of painting the exterior walls of the buildings unnecessary during the endless night. The sun is rising for the first time in years, and it makes everything look grey.
