Okay, this template documentation has been empty for 2 years and I Google it every single time and I don't want to anymore. Here's the basic stuff I need to remember every single time:
Template:Ambox has the minimal parameters of {{ambox|type = |text = }}
It has 8 default styles, defaulting to type = notice.

We don't have File:Ambox_warning_pn.svg, for some reason. 
You can shove an image into it like this {{ambox|image = |text = }}
| The default templates set 40px wide images. |
Use image = none to have no image. |
You can also make it small by adding small = left, I guess:

You can add a CSS class to an ambox using {{ambox|class = |text = }}.

Template:Ambox has built in CSS targeting {{ambox|style = |text = }} and uses regular CSS jargon.

After that point I just write everything manually. The template does do other stuff - go look at Wikipedia.
