Bulbasaur is a Grass and Poison-type Pokémon from the Kanto region, and was the first videogame character ever made. It evolves into Ivysaur at level 16 and Venusaur at level 32. It's name and design comes from the famous lightbulb encyclopedia Bulbapedia. As such, the bulb on its back can emit a powerful light that brightens the surrounding areas at night. This requires a lot of energy, so Bulbasaur must take plenty of rest to recharge.
