The Alphabet is the set of all letters in a written language. The English alphabet, for instance, has 26 letters. Each letter typically represents a unique sound, and letters strung together form words.

Controversy

On May 4 1899, a quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog. This spurred a century-long debate over the ethics of dog-jumping.
