The original Toba Aquarium, sometimes known as Toba Aquarium Japan outside of the Real World to distinguish from the organization's other locations, is located in Toba, Mie, Japan. It features 12 zones connected by a ~1.5km aisle. There is no fixed route for the visitor to travel.

- Sea of Ise-Shima and around Japan
- Jungle World
- Woods of Miracles
- Mermaid Sea
- Polar Seas
- Corridor of Water
- Japanese River
- Curious Creatures Laboratory
The aquarium's most infamous inhabitants are Niko and his grove of nerpas. They are not the only pinnipeds in the aquarium; sea lions, fur seals, and walruses also attract unsuspecting visitors.
