10 (ten) is the number 1 greater than 9 and 1 less than 11. It is the base unit of the most commonly used numbering system, decimal. As such, it has many unique properties and identities. It is the base of the common log, the order of magnitude, and the first two-digit number. It is represented in Roman numerals as X.
