Montreal Expos
The Montreal Expos are MLB's most famous example of lost media. What are now the Washington Nationals started their storied life in Montreal, Quebec. Named after Expo 67, the Expos are Canada's first MLB team, first taking the field in 1969, a mere 8 years before the Toronto Blue Jays. The Expos would stay there until 2004, when they moved to Washington, D.C. This was the capital's first MLB franchise since the Senators moved to Texas to become the Rangers, as well as the city's eighth overall. The Expos would've won the 1994 World Series had there not been a strike. But alas, it is what it is.
