Pokémon Sword and Shield

Pokèmon Sword and Shield was a flash 2d platforming game originally released on December 6th, 2013 onto Newgrounds by MEGAKELDEOFAN9000. The game is no longer available to play due to a takedown notice from The Pokèmon Company International (TPCI). However, this would later backfire as TPCI felt guilty for destroying such a gem, leading to them making an apology video in the form of Ed Sheeran singing a song.
Pokèmon Sword and Shield was named after the RPG elements that were introduced, such as Pokèmon now being able to wield swords and shields.
Development
Pokemon Sword and Shield was a passion project created by MEGAKELDEOFAN9000 on Newgrounds. They dreamed to make a fun flash platformer staring their favourite Pokémon that all the users of the site could enjoy. The motivation wouldn't fully hit until the release of the 15th Pokémon film, Pokémon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice in English on December 8, 2012, where MEGAKELDEOFAN9000 was finally ready to make the game a reality.
Originally the title was planned to only star Keldeo as the only playable character, but after a trip to the Natural History Museum in London. MEGAKELDEOFAN9000 was fascinated by all the old swords and shields used by heroes in the far past, which gave them the inspiration to add Shieldon into the game as a second playable character to the game to be the compliment Keldeo. Shieldon would have a more defensive gameplay style while Keldeo would prioritize in offense.
The main inspirations behind the project were other flash platformers, such as The Fancy Pants Adventures, Meat Boy and Ultimate Flash Sonic.
The music for Pokémon Sword and Shield would borrow tracks from Mario Kart Super Circuit and the Sonic Advance series, due to MEGAKELDEOFAN9000's lack of experience in music creation, but they thought the music from those titles fit perfectly when inserted in.

Controversy
The game contained too many trees. This warranted it only a 5/10 when it came for the game to be reviewed on IGN. Fuck IGN touch some trees and grass while you're at it.
