Babel is a global musical project created by SMW. Its mission is to unite humanity during times of division. It is not a non-profit organization.
Naming
Babel was named after the Tower of Babel. It represents the different tongues of the world coming together in song, as music is the one true universal language of humankind.
Ideas
- A song which blends Indian and Western sounds is currently being thought of, inspired by the Indian Music Experience in Bengaluru. It will feature santoor, sitar, bansuri, sarangi, harmonium, tanpura, dholak, tabla, mridangam, dhol, guitar, piano, saxophone, violin, bass guitar, drums, congas, darbuka, and djembe. India's music scene is thriving, with record labels like T-Series being among the most prosperous in the world.
