[THE ZEITGEIST] (Japanese: ウィキペたん ヘアバンド), otherwise known as Puzzle Piece Hairclip or Puzzle Hairclip, is a fictional character created by BobTheTacocat and a competitor in The Divine Goddess' competition, The Wiki Camp 2. [THE ZEITGEIST] is an anthropomorphized version of Wikipe-tan's hair clip, and acts as an anthropomorphism and unofficial mascot of Wikipedia as a whole. Her goal is to win the Wiki Camp 2 competition and attain its ultimate prize.
Characteristics
[THE ZEITGEIST] is depicted as a gray puzzle piece with a hair clip attached to her backside. The hair clip is vestigial and is often unused, due to being a relic of anthromorphization, however is left in her design as a direct homage to Wikipe-tan[1]. She as often portrayed as a poppy, smart girl who is fascinated with the gathering and preservation of information about various topics. For this reason, she is very adamant about the virtues and usefulness of Wikipedia, and will strive to represent it whenever possible. Writing in an interview, BobTheTacocat stated that her in-universe birthday is January 15 2001, shared with the anniversary of Wikipedia's creation[2].
