Union Pacific Railroad
The Union Pacific Railroad has been Big Boy's home railway throughout his whole life. You know it's Union Pacific if it has that classic livery of yellow and grey.
Big Boy is part of the Union Pacific Heritage Fleet, but he usually knows them as "the squad".
Notable trains and locomotives in its history
Big Boy
Enough said.
Challenger
Big Boy's first cousins, having been based off of them. He had the pleasure of being squadmates with No. 3985 for a few years prior to the latter's retirement.
DDA40X
Big Boy's diesel counterpart. It's longer than you'd expect. No. 6936 used to be part of the squad, making for interesting opportunities to chat with Big Boy about being long.
DD35
L o n g boi with no cab.
DD35A
Same as above but with a cab.
E9
Three of them (one of which has no cab) are members of the squad. It's like they're bringing back the days when passenger trains were serious business.
FEF
Not articulated. No. 844 is a good friend of Big Boy's, having worked together in an excursion to Utah once.
GTEL
Means Gas Turbine Electric Locomotive. Very unique among North American locos.
M-10000
The first ever streamlined passenger train to be manufactured in the United States, yet the second to enter revenue service after the CB&Q's Pioneer Zephyr.
