Cuneiform is an ancient wedge-based writing system, being used in among the earliest of civilizations in the Middle East. Among the more notable ones to use cuneiform was Sumer. This begs the question, how could Gilgamesh have been translated from unearthed cuneiform tablets when it's a different script from the Latin alphabet?
