Middle East

The Middle East is a cradle of ancient civilizations, from Mesopotamia to Egypt. It is here that thousand-year-old cities like Jerusalem, Palestine and Baghdad, Iraq are still teeming with life. Though it's mostly desert, it can also provide beautiful landscapes. The Abrahamic religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, originated here. Jerusalem remains a holy city to these religions; furthermore, Mecca in Saudi Arabia sees millions of Muslim pilgrims flock to the Kaaba in the annual Hajj, one of the five pillars of Islam.
