Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the largest country in the Arabian Peninsula, bordered by the Red Sea to the west; Jordan, Iraq, and Kuwait to the north; the Persian Gulf, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates to the east; Oman to the southeast; and Yemen to the south.. It is the modern birthplace of Islam, more specifically in the city of Mecca. During the annual Hajj, Mecca's population triples from 1.3 million to about 5 million. The capital Riyadh is a bustling metropolis, while Jeddah's old quarter has old coral architecture and thriving bazaars. It is also home to what will become the world's first Dragon Ball Z theme park. Saudi Arabia is booming with money, and capitalists love it.
Saudi Arabia's football team pulled off a once-in-a-lifetime upset against eventual world champions Argentina in the 2022 World Cup. Domestically, Saudi Arabian football is growing, albeit in an unfortunate way. Essentially, the football scene as we know it today is built on capitalism.
