Lesotho
Lesotho is pronounced "less-SOO-two". That's just how the Basotho (singular Mosotho) pronounce their homeland, Lesotho. Same goes for other related terms. Their language is Sesotho. Lesotho is fully surrounded by South Africa, making it the only sovereign enclave outside of the Italian Peninsula (see Vatican City and San Marino).
Lesotho is the only country in the world entirely located 1,000 metres above sea level. Its highest peak is Thabana Ntlenyana, meaning "beautiful little mountain", a part of the Maloti Mountains. With snowy peaks comes the ability to house one of Africa's few ski resorts, Afriski.
