Poland

Poland is a country in east central Europe known for pierogi, Pendolinos, and the Polish language. Poland has been a major hub of European geopolitics, seeing the likes of Soviet influence, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and even Swedish occupation; the capital Warsaw has seen the signing of the Warsaw Pact, while Gdańsk in the north was the birthplace of NSZZ „Solidarność”, a well-known labour union.
