Djibouti is a country on the Horn of Africa with a capital of the same name. A multi-ethnic nation, Djibouti has two official languages: French and Arabic.
Djibouti is home to Lake Assal, the lowest point in Africa and one of the saltiest lakes in the world, and its pinniped inhabitant, the Assal seal. This is a case of nerpulation times 100, because unlike Lake Baikal, the Assal Lake is salty like the Dead Sea.
