Brazil ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Brazil is South America's largest country; it's so huge that Recife is closer to Dakar, Senegal than Porto Alegre. It stretches from the Amazon rainforest to the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. Brazil's culture is vibrant and diverse. Every Carnival, millions take to the streets in a huge nationwide festival.
Music
The most iconic genre of Brazilian music is samba. Samba originated in the Afro-Brazilian communities of Bahia in the 19th century and further developed in Rio de Janeiro in the early 20th century. Bossa nova is a fairly new and relaxing style of samba that mixes itself with jazz. Another notable genre is forró, which comes from the Northeastern Region. Meanwhile, back in Rio de Janeiro, funk carioca is a newer genre of music popular among youths in urban areas. Despite the name, it has no connection to American funk.
Literature
O Alquimista (The Alchemist), now one of the most well-known novels, was published in Brazil. It chronicles Santiago's journey across North Africa to find treasure in the Egyptian pyramids.
Football
Brazil is home to the world's biggest football fanbase. Its national team, which has seen legends such as Pelé, Ronaldinho, and Neymar, has won five world championships, most recently in 2002.

This remains a national tragedy to this day.
In terms of domestic football, there are the state leagues and then there is the Brasileirão. Many of Brazil's biggest teams, such as São Paulo-based teams Palmeiras and Corinthians and Rio de Janeiro-based teams Flamengo and Fluminense, compete in both competitions.
Urban planning
Brazil's horribly-planned capital is Brasília, which is one of the most car-dependent capitals in the world.
