Nicaragua is the largest country in Central America; coincidentally, over 100,000 Nicaraguans live in the region's smallest, El Salvador. Nicaragua's landscape tends to change. It's got lakes here and volcanoes there. Jungles dominate the inland regions while beaches straddle two oceans. Managua is the capital while Lake Nicaragua is one of the few lakes that contain bull sharks. Similarly, Nicaragua also has a lake on an island on a lake.
