France is a country in Europe, bordering Spain and Andorra to the southwest, Monaco and Italy to the southwest, Switzerland and Germany to the west, and Luxembourg and Belgium to the northwest. France is known for its romantic settlements, quaint alpine scenery, and relaxing Mediterranean beaches. Its capital is Paris, the City of Light, home to such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower. Cuisine in France is more than baguettes and croissants. There's quiche and crêpes, as well as some of the best wine out there. Wildlife is aplenty in France, from marmots to lynx to wolf packs.

Though France once had a lot of territory, from Algeria to Madagascar, it's been liberated. Yay!
