Belize

Belize is a diverse country in Central America off the coast of the Caribbean, bordering Mexico to the west. It is the region's only anglophone country. The Belize Barrier Reef plays host to a wide variety of marine life, while the jungles are home to ancient Maya ruins. Caracol is one of them. It could support twice the population of the largest city, Belize City, which is not the capital of Belize because they fucked up. The real capital of Belize is the smaller Belmopan.

Belize is a popular vacation destination all year round. Trips to Belize are given to people who have been causing issues at the workplace in hopes that the country's natural beauty puts any stress at ease. The expression "send to Belize" originated in New Mexico law firm circles as a figure of speech before being taken literally several years later and becoming a common practice.
