Angola is the second-largest and second-most populated Lusophone country after Brazil. It was named this way due to the merely right angled borders. Angola is known for its tropical Atlantic beaches, riverine labyrinths, and plenty of jungle foliage, as well as its Portuguese colonial history. The Fortaleza do São Miguel in the capital Luanda is one of Angola's prized possessions.
Angola is the only country to border both countries named Congo.
Etymology
The late Kingdom of Ndonga was ruled by monarchs known as ngola, giving it its B-side name.
