List of religions
“ | You could make a religion out of this. | ”
— Bill Wurtz |
The Wiki Camp's numerous peoples believe in different things. These systems of beliefs are called religions. Pretty much all religions are taught differently, yet many have very similar teachings.
Universal
These religions occur throughout the camp.
Belief in The Divine Goddess
Obviously. Keep in mind that there are little to no believers in the Real World. Similarly, in other worlds, the number of believers is dwindling down, in exchange for other beliefs, including Christianity. The Wiki Camp 2 Union played a major role in such decline. Turns out She wasn't compassionate after all.
Christianity
“ | The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ | ”
— Matthew 25:40 (NIV) |
Don't you remember? Jesus Christ is canon in The Wiki Camp 2. His messages of universal love and mutual aid, which the Union hold dear to their heart, are often overlooked in the Real World, though.
The Bible can be divided into two parts; the Old Testament prophesized Jesus's first coming and the New Testament chronicles his life in several ways, from the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) to the Acts of the Apostles to the many epistles (Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, and so on). And there's the Book of Revelation, which, if it were an anime, would break the internet.
Most Christians (including many seals) are Catholic, although Orthodox Christians and Protestants also exist.
Islam
Just like how Christianity directly stems from Judaism, Islam directly stems from Christianity. It revolves around the Quran, the Islamic equivalent of the Bible. Muslims believe that this particular faith evolved over time and was revealed to various earlier prophets such as Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (as attributed to Judaism and Christianity); Muhammad is considered the main and final Islamic prophet, completing the faith.
Judaism
Because Judaism is the direct ancestor of Christianity, there must surely be Jewish communities throughout each world. Traditions differ between communities, yet they still believe in the same God.
Half of the world's Jewish population are Ashkenazi. They as a community originated from Central or Eastern Europe. They traditionally speak Yiddish, though Hebrew is predominantly spoken in everyday life.
Working
Working is a religion primarily practiced in the Normal Universe, where people are constantly working 24/7. People with Normal Eyes are more likely to practice this. Job interviews are considered a rite of passage.

Buddhism
Buddhism originated in India and eventually spread throughout Asia. Buddhists believe in nirvana (spiritual enlightenment) amidst a world of suffering, based on the Buddha's teachings.
Confucianism
Confucianism is an ancient system of thought originating in China. Its status as a religion is debatable. Confucianism believes in ancestor worship and human-centred values as the main tenets of living a peaceful life. It has a heavy emphasis on the Golden Rule.
Hinduism
Hinduism is popular in India, where it originated. It is one of, if not the oldest religions in the world, having both monotheistic and polytheistic elements; Brahman is regarded as the ultimate reality, also existing simultaneously within the Trimurti; Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver, and Shiva the destroyer.
iPhone
iPhone is the biggest religion of all in today's hyperconnected world... Sad!
Shinto
Shinto is the native religion of Japan. Its main deities are the kami, which are said to inhabit all things, such as trees, waterfalls, and mountains. Kami are worshipped in shrines. You can tell you're near a shrine when you've found a torii, the gateway to a shrine and an icon of Japan.
Sikhism
Another popular Indian religion, Sikhism advocates for equality alongside spiritual devotion to God, as taught by its gurus. In a way, it's similar to Christianity.
Taoism
Taoism is an ancient Chinese religion that emphasizes living in perfect harmony and balance with the Tao, or the way of the universe. Its two main books are the Tao Te Ching (道德經, Classic of the Way and Virtue) written by philosopher Laozi (老子), and the Zhuangzi (莊子, [the Writings] of Master Zhuang) written by Zhuang Zhou.
Wicca
Wicca is a nature-based duotheistic neopagan religion. Wiccans worship Nature, typically personified as Mother Earth and Father Sky, though titles vary.
Zoroastrianism
Zoroastrianism is an ancient religion that originated in Iran. Its scripture is the Avesta and its main prophet and spiritual founder is Zoroaster. Meanwhile, Ahura Mazda is the creator, whereas Angra Mainyu is the main adversary. In ways similar to Christianity, Zoroastrianism sees a dualistic cosmology between good and evil within a somewhat monotheistic ontology. Much like in the Book of Revelation, good wins.
