Paper Slips are a thing, discovered in Trickshot Fulfillment House NCY2.
History
Paper Slips was found unattended in one of the top shelves of Aisle 134B in the fulfillment center located around the suburbs of New Cheyenne. They were found by Globe (prev. B089KFHC2C) on January 21, 2018. While disregarded as patent nonsense at first, Paper Slips have become the subject of a new investigation by corporate after employees from fulfillment centers worldwide began to report stock disappearing from shelves each morning. Currently, radiocarbon dating is being used to determine when the strokes on the slips were made.
Uses
Paper Slips appear to be receptive to pencil or pen strokes. There is already writing on Paper Slips, but coherent text could not be detected. Translating the text and discerning the doodles to gain insight into how Paper Slips were used are some of the key missions of the investigations. You can also write an integer value on them, and Paper Slips will be converted to legal tender.[citation needed]
Drawbacks
Theft
Paper Slips have a yellow tint and brown lines, meaning they were likely taken from a brand-new package of Trickshot Essentials Wide Ruled Loose Leaf Filler Paper. This means that the package that was shipped would have less than the 6-packs which was advertised on the product page. This would have been detrimental to customer satisfaction if noticed.
Inflation
There is also the potential that someone could write too high of an integer value on Paper Slips, resulting in inflation. This would be detrimental to our Low Price Guarantee.

8/23 d.bot passed 4 times. picked up cheap keyboard and flower pot. papery doesn't like when i use their papers for this. i promised them i would let them keep at least one/reuse as much as i can.
8/24 d.bot passed 2 times. picked up no thing.
8/25 got caught up in a paper airplane contest. gluey won, ironically enough. i knew i was gonna lose, papery made it hard to focus.
8/26 d.bot picked up some paper that wasn't papery. they seemed on edge today.
8/27 gluey's worried that they might be the reason d.bot won't pick us up. some thing about "electrical interference". tried assuring them that technology is just random like that (i'm a mechanical mind myself, after all) papery seems more suspecious of gluey now.

party called off. gluey wanted wine. i was sure trickshot didn't sell alcohol anymore. papery said i was being patronizing so i felt bad. i thought it would be fun.

gluey's worried again. said souls will always see objects as objects. that can't be true i don't think. they know they need us it's so obvious. how could they have built these walls and feats of automation and consumption without the aid of the wires to my left or the bricks to my right? i won at paper airplanes today.
papery ran off somewhere. i don't think they got picked up. i just woke up. i'll still miss them despite every thing.
we sat perched on the cabinet. it was the same view across from us as always. the paperclips, markers, trash bags, and toilet paper, from top to bottom, in that order, never to be rearranged lest d.bot blindly grasps at the wrong item. but today, for some reason, the cracks in between the stacks of supplies seemed more opaque, and the ends of our aisle seemed more remote. usually id try to start a game of poker when i feel this way. pretty hard to do that now. gluey talked to me about feeling claustrophobic. i tried to use the breadth of the warehouse as a counterexample. we took in the view and waited.
i'm sure of it. when the bot chooses us there will be light and celebration and a big wide world we can explore and help the souls who were blessed to live beyond this mall. so long farewell goodbye.
