The legendary critic of American cities, cars, trams, trains, and planes. Why is he legendary? Well, he suggested the following:
- Americans should take the train instead of adding one more lane in hopes that it will fix traffic.
- The American railway network should be nationalized. Or, at least, they should bring back Conrail.
- Houston should consider improving its suburbia.
- Electric cars are bad.
- More trains should use electric locomotives instead of diesel locomotives.
- Freight trains should be used more often as opposed to trucks.
- Metra must change.
- Burying highways underground still won't work.
- Trolleybuses are superior to electric buses.
- In a car-centric society, LRVs are superior to trams.
- Parking garages are bad.
