The iwagen is the secret friend in Pikmin 1. It is capable of shooting rocks, making it a powerful ally. Sadly, it is presumably impossible to recruit to your side, as it is coded to require at least 1 hour of time spent playing Pikmin 2. As that game did not exist yet, this was impossible.
