The humble llama is an Andean camelid that is cherished by many, alongside its smaller cousin, the alpaca. Llamas have been known to spit on intruders. This is especially helpful for when livestock are suceptible to predators such as wolves, foxes, and mink. The wild cousins of llamas are the vicuña and guanaco.
