Background

Mugshot was purchased at a gas station by the current host of Discovering Bigfoot, George Jeffery around 5 years ago. George used to live in a town with no laws called ATownWithNoLaws Town. Because of this, Mugshot and George Jeffery used to commit a lot of robberies and crimes together back in the town, and they stole enough money to move into a new city called CityWhereWikiCamp2TakesPlace City, and for George to pursue a TV host career with Mugshot by his side as the coffee mug on his desk. However, while hosting Discovering Bigfoot, George soon learned that this new city was a lot more strict on law-breaking than their old one, and as a result, he decided to stop committing crimes in order to still have a stable career. Mugshot, however, has continued to pursue criminal activity on his own in the city, as he was way less noticeable to track down than George would be. It still wishes that someday though, George will once again assist them in committing robberies and crimes once again.

Mugshot decided to join The Wiki Camp 2 as a way to meet new people he could possibly relate to since he and George basically do separate things at this point and also commit some crimes along the way as well.

Appearance

During the day, Mugshot adopts the look of any normal-looking coffee mug. However, during the night (when he’s normally committing crimes), he likes to change his appearance a little bit. Mugshot dirties himself up with the dust from under the news desk and takes out the replacement chips he got for his head and handle due to past injuries from robberies. He also likes to put on an eyepatch with a mug replacing the crossbones. This is all in an attempt to differentiate themselves from when they’re doing robberies at night, and when they’re being a simple coffee mug on a desk during the day, in case the police are ever out looking for him.

Personality

When he’s at work with George, Mugshot puts on a persona for those around them as a cute, friendly little coffee mug who’s always happy and smiling. They don’t usually say any words, only opting to let out cute little squeaky noises to communicate. However, when alone with George or during his robberies, Mugshot speaks full words in a normally deep voice and is normally pretty rude, sarcastic, and violent. They usually don’t get along with other people that well. However, they love spending time with those they are close with (like George) and are normally only playfully rude to them.

Coverage

  • Challenge 1: Mugshot found out about The Wiki Camp through hearing others in the city talking about it. It decided to sign up for the camp by creating a wiki article about itself with help from yours truly, George Jeffery. He also begins to come up with a plan to hack the show. Waiting alongside the other [competitors for the reveal of the results, Mugshot was bored and began a bootleg version of The Wiki Camp 2 called [The Wiki Camp 2 (unofficial)]]. Mugshot hung flyers around the city advertising it and some of the camp's contestants like Sock Hater, Mangrove, and more joined it. Mugshot felt happy knowing other people competing in the camp enjoyed committing crimes as well and wondered if there would be an opportunity to work with them again. The day of the results, however, the camp was shut down, and despite receiving a severe fine of $1, Mugshot ended up getting 18th in the challenge, which they were surprised and pleased with. Maybe things could finally be going Mugshot's way in this camp.

  • Challenge 2: Mugshot sees the next challenge in the morning at George's desk, and already hears plans of the former contestants of his bootleg Wiki Camp 2 forming their own team. Mugshot is absolutely down to join them. But, he has to wait until night to join the team, as he needs to find time to sneak away and pull off his crime-committing look. Later in the morning, however, a contestant named Cake pop!!!!!!!!!!!!! bursts into the studio to find "the cute little mug to join their team". Mugshot looks terrified and tries to run away, but is grabbed by his handle and taken away, trying to attack and curse at Cake Pop in the process. Mugshot and Cake Pop then arrive back at Anyone Who’s Played Candy_Crush Level 87 Understands That the Idea of a Compassionate God Is a Naive One's team headquarters, and Mugshot lashes out at the team for taking him against his will after he was already going to join another team. The team agrees to let Mugshot gather his things from under George's desk and sees if he can join the other team. And after a long journey of gathering its things, traveling to their base, and being diagnosed with School, Mugshot finally arrives at The Ultimate Heist Crew's base, only to realize it's Half Time and the team is already full. Mugshot cries out in anguish, which attracts local CityWhereWikiCamp2TakesPlace City officers to try to arrest him for his past crimes. However, the members of Anyone Who’s Played Candy_Crush Level 87 Understands That the Idea of a Compassionate God Is a Naive One come to defend and save Mugshot from the officers and take him back to their base. Even though Mugshot still isn't the biggest fan of the team's style of life, he's still appreciative of what they did for him, and he's starting to warm up toward them. And who knows? Maybe one day, Mugshot will fully embrace the style of life that team Anyone Who’s Played Candy_Crush Level 87 Understands That the Idea of a Compassionate God Is a Naive One has. Or maybe they'll all become criminals. I don't know. The race is on.

Crimes

Mugshot has currently committed 2 crimes that have been documented, with one that is upcoming. According to an interview with Mugshot, he has committed at least 21 crimes in CityWhereWikiCamp2TakesPlace City, with an additional 50 or so back in ATownWithNoLaws with George, leaving a total of possibly 70+ crimes left undocumented.

Trivia

  • Mugshot’s favorite band is They Might Be Giants, as “the scope of their songs make [them] feel big in comparison.” Their favorite song is Wicked Little Critta.
  • Mugshot can be on a broadcast of Discovering Bigfoot from February 14th, 2021 on George Jeffery's desk near the beginning of the broadcast, and as the mug the strange man is holding later in the broadcast. No other broadcasts of Discovering Bigfoot have been posted to YouTube as of September 29th, 2022, however. (currently, no broadcasts are necessary material for further insight on mugshot lore, but this could change in the future as more broadcasts are found).
    • Interestingly, Mugshot appears to take on a more white appearance in this broadcast. According to George Jeffery, this is because Mugshot had just gotten cleaned before the taping, and develops the more yellow-tanish tint as the days go by where they don't get washed. It appears that the person who cleaned Mugshot for the broadcast has gone missing, and they're speculated to be one of the 9 people on Mugshot's kill count[citation needed] .
  • Mugshot hates being used as a prop or actual coffee mug, and even in his innocent morning persona, will violently attack anyone who uses them as such. The only person who Mugshot allows to use him as such is George Jeffery, although reluctantly.
  • Mugshot rarely intends on killing anyone through his crimes, but he won't hesitate to do so if they mess with him or his friends. He currently has a kill count of 9, and when asked if he intended to bring it up to the double digits, he said "Pick me up and find out.".
  • Mugshot is a Jame H.W. Classic 2011 Plain Coffee Mug. Over 30 million units of the mug were distributed before they were recalled 4 months later after people reported of the mugs began displaying "violent tendencies".
  • Mugshot is surprisingly strong for a coffee mug. No one knows why they're so strong, but some believe it's the coffee inside of Mugshot that makes him so strong.
  • Mugshot's favorite number is 0.584374840294090351.1. When asked why, Mugshot said, "bitch i dunno you told me to step on the keyboard and see what comes out"
  • After committing a crime, Mugshot likes to go up on top of the roof of the building that they just robbed and stargaze out into the night. It makes Mugshot feel accomplished, and they think to themselves, "One day, I'm going to hijack a rocket from the CompanyThatMakesRockets Company and take over one of those planets. It'll be called PlanetCalledMugtopia Planet."
