Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland is the northeastern part of Ireland, within the county of Munster. Owned by the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland was formed by Protestant unionists who stayed loyal to the crown, as opposed to the Republic of Ireland being backed by majority Catholic Irish nationalists.
