The penny is a coin used in various currencies. For example, in the United States and Canada, it is worth one cent. Pennies are popularly used in travel, as people often challenge themselves to travel a certain distance in a given time starting with only a penny. The first person to accomplish such a task was Ryan Trahan. In 2022, he went from Los Angeles to North Carolina in 30 days with the help of his trusty penny. A year later, he did something similar by travelling from Paris to New York City in 7 days starting with €0.01.
