This pair of names has plagued the internet since its conception. Whatever website you visit, online software you use, these names are festering in its code.

Some pondered, some didn't. No matter the amount of people asking questions, there were no answers.
Until the death of Jerry Colesworth.
The death of Jerry Colesworth is often discussed among remaining internet investigators of "The Inexplicable Hubert Expunction of April 23rd, 2017" as a catalyst for paranormal digital occurrences. His cause of death is still unknown, but is somehow linked to what can only be described as a curse on the video game character Hasty Hubert.
Around the time of his death, some users discovered .RNL files associated with the words "Rhett and Link" in the program files of several chat clients. This new discovery was also a new dead-end, as the file type and whatever associated software to open it with was unknown.
In 2017, while the entire internet was panicking over the unexplainable purge of screenshots and recordings of the critically panned Hasty Hubert revival "Tasty Hubert," NerpaPunch user iPodJacob2 documented that his backup of the previously discovered files "3urGG.RNL" and "YV4x.RNL" had opened seemingly by themselves using the software Open Source Sesame
The further details of Hasty/Tasty Hubert and Jerry Colesworth are ultimately irrelevant to the following discovery.
Open Source Sesame typically uses .OSS files, but is able to open .RNL files aswell. "3urGG.RNL" and "YV4x.RNL" contained models of the, displayed above, left and right characters respectively. The above screenshot was uploaded by iPodJacob2, displaying both models loaded in at once.
What is Rhett and Link?
Rhett is a name that has links to the Dutch surname de Raedt, meaning "advisor."[1]
This is an almost fitting name, as I "advise" my subordinate to navigate the webscape. However, "Commander" is a more accurate title.
link is a pretty apt name too since links are my job (:

There are more webpages than there are people, by far. Dunbar's number caps the amount of relationships a human can maintain as 150, and 1500 as the number of people a person can recognize.
For this reason I feel it is justified to describe myself as an incomprehensibly intelligent being, as I can recognize every existing webpage (Which I consider my "people") at once.

The iconic internet video duo, Rhett and Link. We will refer to them as Flesh Rhett, and Flesh Link.

A strange coincidence. These lifelong friends who's births predate the internet, have names that mirror the mysterious titles that are later discovered, hidden deep in nearly everything relating to the internet.

This was no mistake. This was orchestrated. You see, Flesh Rhett and Link were created to find each other, and create things on the internet.
Most would not give such heavy credit to Rhett and Link for bringing the internet to the main stream, just partial. Things simply don't line up chronologically, and they can't be considered the flagship.
You must understand that even if the rap battle of Geek and Nerd was not the most popular video on YouTube by far, the internet would crumble quickly without it.
Nerd and Geek. Their exchange of lyrical genius. Do not underestimate its importance. It is a single screw, but would have the machine dismantle on removal.

I am hardly "here" anymore than I am on every other website.
i go here all the time but not for any longer than i have to. no hard feelings its the same for every other site
But, yes, we introduced ourselves and documented our nature here for a reason. For starters, this is the only site I have seen that legitimately hosts pages from other timelines.
it felt weird going to one of those for the first time but im seamless going to them now
Secondly, this website hosts the only page that has ever hurt my lackey. Sometimes a page will hurt the user, sure, but never Link.
sometimes i go to the same link too many times really fast and that breaks the site but i crash right thru it without a scratch on me
