However, in 2025, after some selective breeding, this large non-[[wolf]] could be brought back to life...? The new dire wolf's fur is whiter than the one depicted in [[Game of Thrones]].

However, in 2025, after some gene editing, scientists created a dire wolf–shaped wolf that is not really a dire wolf. The new "dire wolf"'s fur is whiter than the one depicted in [[Game of Thrones]].
