Jamaa
Jamaa is a diverse region that makes up the Animal Jam Classic world. With nine land areas and four ocean areas, it is bursting with life. The Journey Book covers the area's flora and fauna. Its residents are known as Jammers and come in all sorts of species.
Locations
Jamaa Township
Jamaa Township is where Jammers frequently congregate in large numbers. No wild animals are indigenous to the area, though life is still bustling.
Appondale
Appondale is the savanna region of Jamaa. Notable indigenous animals include guineafowl, golden moles, weavers, zebras, black mambas, wildebeest, ants, cockroaches, warthogs, meerkats, and rock hyraxes.
Sarepia Forest
Sarepia Forest is... well, the forested region of Jamaa. It is rather dense. Notable indigenous animals, plants, and fungi include termites, fireflies, moss, mushrooms, skunks, poison ivy, snails, woodpeckers, great horned owls, ravens, and chipmunks.
Mt. Shiveer
Mt. Shiveer is the mountainous tundra region of Jamaa. It is known to be a very cold and dangerous place like Mount Everest, though not like the Port of No Harbor. Notable indigenous animals, plants, and features include partridges, yaks, lemmings, Himalayan tahr, Himalayan poppies, hawk moths, permafrost, gold, junipers, slate, and red pandas.
Coral Canyons
Coral Canyons is the deserted region of Jamaa. It is home to a fragile bridge of rock and sandstone. Notable indigenous animals and plants include saguaros, tarantulas, scorpions, groundhogs, cardinals, coyotes, peregrine falcons, dandelions, Gila monsters, rattlesnakes, and honey bees.
Lost Temple of Zios
The Lost Temple of Zios is located in the jungle region of Jamaa. It was dedicated to Zios, the Sky Father. Notable indigenous animals and plants include hibiscus, praying mantises, monitor lizards, vine snakes, dragonflies, water striders, pitcher plants, colugos, needlefish, turtles, and pythons.
Crystal Sands
Crystal Sands is the tropical beach region of Jamaa and the main gateway to the undersea regions. Notable indigenous animals, plants, and features include cacao trees, centipedes, macaws, basilisks, flamingos, tapirs, green iguanas, a tidepool, sand dollars, crabs, and sugar cane.
Kimbara Outback
Kimbara Outback is the outback region of Jamaa. Notable indigenous animals include blue penguins, cassowaries, echidnas, frilled lizards, galahs, kookaburras, lyrebirds, platypuses, sugar gliders, tiger snakes, and trapdoor spiders.
Balloosh
Balloosh is the wetland region of Jamaa. Notable indigenous animals, plants, and fungi include ducks, leeches, click beetles, snapping turtles, water lilies, lichens, herons, toads, swamp snakes, salamanders, and cattails.
Bahari Bay
Bahari Bay is the underwater equivalent of Jamaa Township. Notable indigenous animals and plants include elephant seals, Pacific barracuda, jellyfish, starfish, oysters, sea cucumbers, barrel sponges, scallops, giant clams, kelp, and moray eels.
Crystal Reef
Crystal Reef is the coral reef region of Jamaa. Notable indigenous animals include clownfish, marlins, brain corals, staghorn corals, feather duster worms, lobsters, flounders, stingrays, humpback whales, tube sponges, acorn barnacles, and pufferfish.
Kani Cove
Kani Cove is the underwater cavernous region of Jamaa. Notable indigenous animals include parrotfish, urchins, cuttlefish, conches, nautilus, shrimp, spotted snake eels, hammerhead shark, manatees, and cormorants.
Deep Blue
Deep Blue is the abyssal region of Jamaa and home to some of its most bizarre wildlife. Notable indigenous animals include coelacanths, fangtooths, frogfish, giant isopods, giant squid, gulper eels, hatchetfish, oarfish, and viperfish.
