Nightcore is a vibe or aesthetic best enjoyed at night, and usually entailing electronic dance music with increased speed and pitch. Nightcore peaked in the past, in a bygone era of the internet. The easiest way to nightcore a song is to speed it up by 10 or 15 percent without any pitch correction enabled. Reports suggest nightcore was frequently associated with images of anime girls, but science is still yet to determine why. A famous example of nightcore is Caramelldansen.
Nightcore is the mirror image of vaporwave or slowed and reverbed, featuring similar vibrant qualities, but from a different angle. Rumour has it there is a genre called Daycore, but not a single example of it exists in the world, being lost media.
