Apricot as a color is paler than actual apricots.

History

Apricots were first discovered in the month of April in someone's cot (a house), hence the name. They were cultivated in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Somehow, Armenians discovered that they make a great musical instrument. They called it duduk.

Devious pit

Inside every apricot is a sin known as a pit, which is big seed. This makes it resemble the peach or even the fabled nectarine.
