Emerald is a gemstone and a variety of the mineral beryl. It is also considered a color.

Emeralds are commonly buried deep underground, but have a cosmopolitan distribution, even found in the most unlikely of places. When brought back up, the person who does so receives immunity. Seven ancient specimens and their powerful parent are notably multicoloured and signify unlimited power.
