Wikiland, officially the Wikilandian Confederation, is the largest country in the Grass World sphere of Collabora, about the size of Australia. Comprising the entire Wikilandian continent, there are 166 provinces called groves, each containing a major city that is the grove's respective capital, including cloud-borne Shadowveil and the National Capital Territory, which contains the country's national capital and largest city, Wiki City. They can be further divided into counties called clumps.

It is well-known for its sustainability. Its cities are walkable and the vast majority of Wikilanders use public transit. Trains, trams, and buses are the most popular mode of transport, as with many other countries, though planes may be used as well.

History

The first inhabitants of what is now Wikiland represent seventeen language families as well as two language isolates. Luckily, due to persistence between these Indigenous communities, all of them are still here.

Prior to 22 August 1922, 184 sovereign states existed throughout the continent, with 19 alone in what is now the National Capital Territory. On 11 November 1921, the dreaded Reddit War began over a single penny of Reddit Gold, much to the dismay and anger of Wikiland's civilians. With hopes to restore piece on Wikiland forever, they formed a union and overthrew the greedy and corrupt governments on 22 August 1922, establishing the Wikilandian Confederation.

Geography

Wikiland is the largest country in Collabora by area, comprising a single continent. Because of this, it is incredibly diverse, especially geographically.

Biodiversity

Okinberries and aguberries are native to the Wikilandian continent. Aguberries in particular are a highly popular export.

Politics

Wikiland has no president; rather, the 166 groval premiers meet at the National Council in Wiki City.

Ethnicity

Wikiland is home to a large variety of Indigenous ethnic groups. They speak languages representing seventeen language families, along with two language isolates. Of these seventeen families, five are very widespread. Other languages are commonly spoken, including English, which is not native to the Grass World.

Culture

Among the Grass World's countries, Wikiland has one of the most diverse cultures in the world. People of many ethnic groups from around the world live, each contributing to Wikilandian society in a specific way.

Sport

Sports of many types play a major role in Wikilandian culture. Team sports are all co-ed like in the late Blaseball, providing an equal opportunity for all. Football and baseball are the two most popular sports in Wikiland, with American football following closely behind. Intercollegiate athletics is overseen by the Wikilandian Association of University and College Athletics (WAUCA) and is equally as popular as professional sports and, to an extent, high school sports; generally, Wikilanders pledge their allegiance to their local professional (predominantly in football and baseball), WAUCA, and high school teams. Wikilandian sports combine the vastness of American sports with the chants and atmosphere of European sports. All teams have their own unique logo and slogan, like in Blaseball.

Professional football is managed by the Wikilandian Football Alliance (WFA), with the highest level of play being the groval top flight leagues. League winners, runners-up, etc., as well as groval cup winners and the winners of the WAUCA Cup, qualify for The Wiki League, the equivalent of the UEFA Champions League, which can be divided into three levels with 256 teams each. The Wiki Cup is the continental championship of the 166 groval teams.

Wikilandian Professional Baseball (WPB) is the highest of the three levels of professional baseball in Wikiland. Tier 2 baseball is composed of the groval leagues, while Tier 3 baseball is composed of the clump leagues.

Uniquely, American football in Wikiland, locally known as gridiron, is entirely amateur, much like the Gaelic Athletic Association in Ireland; the highest level of American football is WAUCA, followed by high school gridiron.

In cycling, each grove with the exception of Shadowveil has its own Grand Tour, much like the Tour de France.

In tennis, each grove with the exception of Shadowveil has its own major tennis tournament, with the Wiki City Open being the most prestigious.

Golf has been outlawed.
