California (not to be confused with the fake California) is an island country consisting of an archipelago located in the Specific Ocean.
History
California was officially founded in the middle of the winter when it was really cold outside one day. The king of California at the time, named Jefferey Jeffrey, also known as Walt Disney, declared that it was an official continent because he found a flag he could put in the ground. Everyone who lives in California knows this event. That flag includes the rare Californian grizzly bear, of which there are only four.
Oreos Corporation has made a mockery of this event in the public news and has come under fire for it multiple times.
Geography
California is comprised of at least 22 islands. Of those 22, the following have confirmed names:
- Crugey Island
- Santa Cruz (not pictured)
Biodiversity
California is famous for its large amount of endemic species of plants and animals. Among these are the California sea lion, found nowhere else except North America, which is in another world.
Many of the trees in California have distinctive maroon and white striped bark. These are known as candy trees and can be found everywhere throughout the archipelago.
Population
Currently there resides about fourty or 8 people in the islands of California. This population is expected to duplicate itself endlessly until the islands are completely stripped of all resources and sink back into the ocean. All residents of California will receive an honorary badge on their profile for competing in this campaign.
This phenomenon is referred to as "Tipping the Statesberg" by geologists. People who partake in this practice are known as Bergers. Many people outside of California, however, oppose this phenomenon.
Notable landmarks
At the tip of the westernmost island, also known as Crugey Island, a small pebble with a large shadow can be found. This is affectionately known as the Devil's Pebbles.
At the eastern port of Santa Cruz (not pictured), there can be two Goombae seen wandering on the dock. In addition, for one frame it is possible to see a third Goomba down on the sea floor of the Specific Ocean. This happens due to the loadout of the Goombae, which spawns them in a triangular shape and spawns them on the nearest solid ground. This Goomba, however, spawns in midair, which causes it to spawn on the death barrier deep below the water. Sonar indicates that this Goomba is somehow alive, but due to the spawning radius it is currently impossible to contact him. Those who have tried fell onto the death barrier, immediately killing them. It was, as witnesses recall, very stupid.
