Ekans is a Poison-type Pokémon from the Kanto region. It evolves into Arbok at level 22.

Crazy facts about Ekans

• On August 14 2014, internet user Matthew Patthew discovered that Ekans spelled backwards is Snake, a clever subliminal message acknowledging the fact that Ekans is a snake.
  • Additionally, Ekans may be a reference to Okin, whose name is Niko's but reversed.
