Explain/Wikiland
Big Boy's user wanted to make a country where the contestants can put their own city in it, so he created Wikiland on September 30, 2022. It was originally meant to have 102 major cities, but now it has 163. Despite this, most of the contestants didn't care, so he'll have to brainstorm. However, he will have to make sure that most of the city names aren't affiliated with any contestants (ie. Big Boy Town) nor have any direct references to them or their users, unless they wanted to.
The idea of a map of Wikiland was widely acclaimed by the others, starting April 25, 2023. Possible ideas include a topographical map or a Paper Mario-style map, or maybe even both (as suggested by Five) and clickable sections like in Category:Competitors (official) (as suggested by Airy).
Cities
Wiki City
Unlike most cities, Wiki City represents The Wiki Camp 2 as a whole. There are 18 boroughs for the 18 teams (including the BREAKFAST Party and Teem Fair-E Land), as well as the central business district.
Each of the boroughs gets its own association football team, in a way similar to how there are a lot of teams in London, and just like how Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are the main clubs, there are five of equal status throughout Wiki City for each of the major factions' boroughs. There are also seven WPB and five WFL teams in Wiki City. Similarly, each borough has the terminus of a unique regional passenger rail network, in addition to Blue Link Transit's citywide commuter rail network. This was also inspired by London, as there are various train operating companies branching out of town along with the London Overground, its commuter rail network, in addition to the Elizabeth Line.
Chartreusia
Chartreusia was obviously named after the colour chartreuse.
Copper City
Copper City was obviously named after Copper Pepper's element.
Fischbach
Fischbach was named after Mark Edward Fischbach. Its baseball culture was inspired by Mark Genuine's team, Death Row.
Goddess City
Goddess City was first though of by Satomi after she said the city must have no suburbs. That is a based opinion. Suburbia is bad. Click here to understand why.
Ipomoea
Ipomoea was named after the Ipomoea plant, most likely Ipomoea indica, growing out of Terra's head. The name was instantly though of by S-Guy during the naming process of WPB's teams. For Ipomoea, he thought of the Blossoms.
Jabelmann Junction
Jabelmann Junction was named after Otto Jabelmann, Big Boy's designer. S-Guy decided it would be placed on the other end of a mountain pass with very frequent train traffic (see Cajon Pass in California).
Korpikylä
Korpikylä roughly means "wilderness village" in Finnish. The name was suggested by ChatGPT.
Mangrove City
Mangrove City was first thought of after Arllyhautegoth suggested it be a tiered city, representing Mangrove's legs.
Marriott
Because Statler and Waldorf were named after hotels, S-Guy looked for popular hotel brands in the present day for inspiration. He stumbled upon Marriott International, and thus, the city of Marriott was born.
New Cheyenne
On September 30, 2022, S-Guy made his first major city for Wikiland. He wanted there to be trains in as many relevant locations as possible, as well as metros and trams. So far, we know of a commuter rail network and a shunting and terminal railway. NCE was partially inspired by Caltrain, the Bay Area's commuter rail network connecting San Francisco and San Jose, with occasional services to Gilroy. Notable examples include the use of an electrified main line that sees many trains per day, as well as Stadler KISS electric multiple units.
Riverside
Because THE RIVER was in the WC2 Relationship Chart, this inspired S-Guy to create Riverside.
Shadowveil
Shadowveil, a cloud-borne city floating above Wikiland and having no fixed location, was first mentioned back in August 29, 2022 on Smobo's page. Smobo xemself is a resident of Shadowveil and a courier for the Shadowveil Royal Postal Service.
Tomato Town
Tomato Town was named after the eponymous Fortnite location. Canonically, the former was wiped out, a reference to Chug Jug With You.
Waltersburg
Waltersburg was named in honour of Heisenburgy, the official mascot of Team 17, after Walter White, aka. Heisenberg.
Wiki Rail
Wikiland's railway network is nationalized under Wiki Rail. However, operations are divided into multiple brands so that operations are (hopefully) more effective. It's as if BR still controlled the UK rail network, yet it had more brands than just a few.
Rolling stock is jointly based on American and European equipment. For example, Blue Link's fleet of Bombardier Talent 2 and Stadler FLIRT electric multiple units are more European-like, while LF&N's fleet of Siemens SC-44 diesel locomotives are more American-like. Freight operators also use American-like locomotives and cars, as does the Shadowveil Royal Postal Service, with its use of GE E60C-2 electric locomotives.
