The harbor seal (Phoca vitulina) is the most abundant pinniped on Earth, common to Atlantic and Pacific waters. One may encounter a harbor seal on a rocky beach or fjord, resting in the shape of a banana. It is also a popular pick for aquariums. Well, at least it's not a nerpa. However...
Harbor seals were once popular among hunters, but this has since been banned. Now, with the wake of the total seal extinction event, will they be driven to extinction once and for all?
