New York City

Start spreading the news, I'm leaving today
I want to be a part of it: New York, New York
These vagabond shoes, are longing to stray
Right through the very heart of it: New York, New York
I wanna wake up in a city that doesn't sleep
And find I'm king of the hill, top of the heap
These little town blues, are melting away
I'll make a brand new start of it in old New York
If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere
It's up to you, New York, New York
New York, New York
I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps
And find I'm a number one, top of the list
King of the hill, a number one
These little town blues, oh, are melting away
I'm gonna make a brand new start of it in old New York
And if I can make it there, I'm gonna make it anywhere
It's up to you, New York, New York
New Yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooork

Unfortunately, the latter's former building was demolished to make way for the city's main arena, Madison Square Garden, home of the DATA EXPUNGED and New York Rangers. The Stonewall Inn, a pivotal location for the LGBTQ+ rights movement, was located in Manhattan, while Statue of Libery was not too far away. Central Park with its zoo was a popular place for a quiet getaway, while the Metropolitan Museum of Art showcased artworks from around the world. Manhattan was also home to the HQ of the United Nations, Columbia University of the Ivy League, and New York University of the University Athletic Association.
Brooklyn
Brooklyn was the most populous of the five boroughs and the westernmost part of Long Island, coextensive with Kings County. It was named after the Dutch town of Breukelen—which fits since it was founded by Dutch settlers. The Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges serve as iconic gateways to the borough. The beaches of peninsular Coney Island were surrounded by amusement parks. Brooklyn was home to the Nets, the Gotei 13, and the 99th Precinct.
