Galápagos Islands
In 2023, I left Canada for the world-infamous Galápagos Islands, home to not one, but two seal species. Both of them can be found in large amounts throughout the islands, meaning I had to deal with their horrid odours. I came out totally scathed and nerpified. There were seals EVERYWHERE. Not to mention the sheer amount of marine iguanas, along with land iguanas, lava lizards pelicans, frigatebirds, sea turtles, crabs, penguins, flamingos, blue-footed boobies, and incredibly humongous tortoises. The communities in Santa Cruz, Floreana, and Isabela Islands (the ones we stayed in) were lovely though.
Overall, please take my word seriously when I say that if you are Wiki Camp 2-pilled and come to the Galápagos Islands, BEWARE OF SEALS. Remain cautious at all times, and if you see one, act accordingly.
