Vriska Kart Tour is the second mainline Vriska Kart entry on the Vriskbox 8, after Vriska Kart 9, and is currently the most recent entry in the Vriska Kart franchise. The game was not shown before release, and was instead shadowdropped on March 9th, 2023. Due to the release timing, many people suspect it was intended to be announced at a holiday Games Conference in December of the previous year. Vriska Kart 9 functions as an All-In-One Vriska Kart Game, featuring elements from all of the previous Vriska Kart entries[1] rolled up into one.
Reception
The game garnered only mild attention from fans after its launch, due to its unceremonious release cycle. The following are reviews from high profile[citation needed] figures in the Gaming Community.

Obstacle An Obstacle as it appears in Vriska Kart: Super Circuit |
Obstacles are strange, baikalesque creatures that appear as obstructions on many courses throughout the Vriska Kart franchise. If the player runs into an Obstacle, they gain a speed boost, but the Obstacle in question will be slightly bigger on the next loop around the track. If any of the Obstacles grow too large, they will cause an overflow and crash the game. |

One of the main aspects of the Vriska Kart franchise that set it apart from its competition, was its use of pick-up items which the player is able to use to temporarily give themself powers, or to hinder other players.

Bowling Ball A Bowling Ball as it appears in Vriska Kart Tour |
The Bowling Ball is a medium-rarity item. It is functionally similar to a Devious Walnut, except it locks on to the closest player in the direction it is thrown. | 8th-3rd place 25% chance. |

Glitches
Castle Bloomberg 1 freeze glitch
In Castle Bloomberg 1, there is a small section on the course[3] with a pool of water too small for the player to fall into the water as usual. Driving into this pool will instead lock the player in a state constantly switching between falling into the water, and landing onto the track, softlocking the course.
Baikal Bay Obstacle launch glitch
In Baikal Bay, there is a section approximately halfway through the course, where two Obsatcles get close enough together that the player can drive into both of them at once. Doing so will bounce the player between the two Obstacles at incredibly high speeds. If done correctly, this will clip the player underneath the map.
Trivia
- The 4 default playable characters in Vriska Kart Tour are the full playable cast of the original Super Vriska Kart.
- The timespan between Super Vriska Kart and Ultra Vriska Kart is the longest stretch between two original Vriska Kart games, lasting 23 years. This period is often referred to by fans as the "Hi8tus", due to it being a lot longer than 8 years.
References
- ↑ Vriska Kart Tour does not feature any courses from Vriska Kart Wii, as it is simply an enhanced Nintendo Wii port of Vriska Kart 8 Deluxe, as well as Vriska Kart 9, which is a Vriskbox 8 port of the same game.
- ↑ Due to the NES' hardware limitations, the courses in Ultra Vriska Kart are generated on the fly, meaning no course has a "Map Image", so to speak.
