A Transit Speedrun is a category of speedrun that requires the runner to take public transit to various points as fast as possible. Transit Speedruns are an increasingly popular method of breaking Guinness World Records.

- Jet Lag% - Attempt every challenge that the Jet Lag team did in season 10.
- Jet Lag% Deluxe - Attempt every challenge that the Jet Lag team did every challenge that they would've done in season 10.
- Canada
- 2010 Winter Olympics% - Visit all venues in the 2010 Winter Olympics.
- CHL% - Visit all Canadian Hockey League arenas.
- NHL% - Visit all seven National Hockey League arenas in Canada.
- OHL% - Visit all Ontario Hockey League arenas.
- Ontario University% - Visit Ontario's 20 publicly assisted universities.
- TTC Any% - Visit all TTC subway stations.
- TTC York% - Visit all TTC subway stations with "York" in their name. The world record of 1h26m was set on 12 April 2023 by User:Hanss314.
- England
- Premier League% - Visit all 20 or so Premier League venues. You might also have to go to Wales for this one depending on who's playing. The record resets for every new season.
- France
- 2024 Summer Olympics% - Visit all venues in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
- Ligue 1% - Visit all 18 or so Ligue 1 venues. You might also have to go to Monaco for this one. The record resets for every new season.

- Bundesliga% - Visit all 18 or so Bundesliga venues. The record resets for every new season.
- UEFA EURO 2024% - Visit all ten venues in UEFA EURO 2024.

- Municipalities% - Visit all eleven of Liechtenstein's municipalities.
- New Zealand
- Jet Lag% Beginner - Simply go from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
- Jet Lag% Advanced - Cover every challenge in Jet Lag season 5 on your way from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
- Qatar
- 2022 FIFA World Cup% - Visit all eight venues of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
- United States
- Bay Area Rapid Transit Any% - Visit every station on Bay Area Rapid Transit.
- Big Ten% - Visit all 18 institutions in the Big Ten Conference.
- Boston Diner% - Inspired by a Miles in Transit video, visit every diner in Boston.
- Ivy League% - Visit all eight institutions in the Ivy League.
- March Madness Arena% - Visit all 14 arenas in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The record resets for every new edition.
- March Madness Team% - Visit all 68 universities represented in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The record resets for every new edition.
- MLB% - Visit all 30 Major League Baseball parks. This might be next to impossible considering the transitlessness of Arlington, Texas, where the Texas Rangers play at Globe Life Field.
- MLS% - Visit all 30 Major League Soccer stadiums.
- NCAA Division I% - Visit the campuses of every NCAA Division I institution.
- NBA% - Visit all 30 National Basketball League arenas.
- NFL% - Visit all 30 venues of the National Football League. This might be next to impossible considering the transitlessness of Arlington, Texas, where the Dallas Cowboys play at AT&T Stadium.
- Philadelphia Diner% - Inspired by a Miles in Transit video, visit every diner in Philadelphia.
- Seattle Any% - Ride all seven modes of public transport in Seattle.
- SEC% - Visit all 16 institutions in the Southeastern Conference.
- State Capital% Beginner - Visit all contiguous state capitals and the District of Columbia. Planes and cars are allowed.
- State Capital% Intermediate - Visit all contiguous state capitals and the District of Columbia. Only planes are not allowed.
- State Capital% Advanced - Visit all contiguous state capitals and the District of Columbia. As with most other Transit Speedruns, planes and cars are not allowed.
- Washington Metro Any% - Visit every station on the Washington Metro.
- Europe
- Capital% - Visit every capital in Europe.
- Champions League% - Visit every stadium in the UEFA Champions League. The record resets for every new season.
- Conference League% - Visit every stadium in the UEFA Conference League. The record resets for every new season.
- Countries Any% - Visit every country.
- Europa League% - Visit every stadium in the UEFA Europa League. The record resets for every new season.
- Schengen Showdown% - Attempt every challenge that the Jet Lag team did in season 13.
- Schengen Showdown% Deluxe - Attempt every challenge that the Jet Lag team did and every challenge that they would've done in season 13.
- Tag% 1/2 - Starting in Charleville-Mezieres, France, travel to Zermatt, Switzerland; the island of Jersey; and Borkum, Germany in no particular order in the fastest time.
- Tag% 3 - Starting in Ferrara, Italy, travel to Lyon, France; Bratislava, Slovakia; and the island of Capri in no particular order in the fastest time.
- UEFA% - Visit every stadium in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Conference League. The record resets for every new season.
- UEFA EURO 2020% - Visit all eleven venues in UEFA EURO 2020.
- UEFA EURO 2028% - Visit all nine venues in UEFA EURO 2028.
- North America
- 2026 FIFA World Cup% - Visit all sixteen venues of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. This might be next to impossible considering the transitlessness of Arlington, Texas, where games will be played at AT&T Stadium.
- NHL% - Visit all 32 National Hockey League arenas.
- World
- 2030 FIFA World Cup% - Visit all venues of the 2030 FIFA World Cup. This is a rather odd speedrun for a World Cup as three games will be played in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, while the rest are in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
- Any% - Circumnavigate the world.
- Countries Any% - Visit every country.
- Capital% - Visit every capital.
- Eras% - Visit every stadium in the Eras Tour.
- Planeless% - Circumnavigate the world without using planes.
- Phileas Fogg% - Follow Phileas Fogg's original route in Jules Verne's novel.
