When They Craft: The White Eyes Incident

When They Craft is an English visual novel series produced by Girl Host Team, following the release of Girl Host. The first episode, titled The White Eyes Incident, was published on July 31st, 2024, with subsequent episodes expected to release in the coming year.
The story follows a group of players on the Wiki Camp 2 competitors' hardcore Minecraft server experiencing a series of bizarre and seemingly impossible events that lead to the death of everybody involved, known as The White Eyes Incident. Due to their unsolvable nature, these killings are explained as the actions of a supernatural entity, and because of the White Eyes Incident's strong similarity to many iterations of the Herobrine gaming creepypasta, the event is considered to have been perpetrated by the actual Herobrine. Nurse Cap, as the main protagonist, is tasked with proving whether this supernatural narrative is true.

Nurse Cap A former professional gamer, former hospital attendant and former member of Host. A bundle of nerves in the shape of a paper cap, though she's slowly coming into her own. She loves anime but dislikes keeping up with seasonals. Sometimes she wants to be the bully but she gets pushed around instead.
Her relevance relies on her previous run-ins with the occult, stemming from her stints with escapism. Through her experience with Beatrice she now once again finds herself seated, on the side of Mystery.

Noah One of the only debuters in the Wiki Camp 2, and a stalwart force of team Epic Evil.
A self-described paragon of justice, Noah is an incredibly powerful boy who has taken it upon himself to rid the world of evil. There is a lot of work for him, as his description of evil applies to almost every being in the universe. He is a known universe hopper, meeting multiple separate versions of himself, and scales to Complex Multiversal Level if pushed.
These abilities do not affect his Minecraft gameplay, where he is just a tryhard. Several player deaths prior were his doing.
Azalea A member of the internationally recognized terrorist group "The Mario Party" Her existence as a computer program makes her capable of extreme acts of terrorism, but her powers can be severely limited by the system she inhabits.
As the last surviving member of The Mario Party on the server, she is determined to
She was previously only known as "The Computer." Her current name was chosen from a newfound interest in plants.
Sock Hater A member of the petty crime group "The Ultimate Heist Crew." He's quick to get annoyed, not very smart, and often holds no specific role on the team. Despite being a userbox who escaped from a digital environment into the real world, he holds little connection to computers or wikis.
Has an ongoing feud with socks.
Padlock The founder, leader, and hacker of the petty crime group "The Ultimate Heist Crew." Responsible for many of the team's biggest heists, he does not work well on his own, but is considered good at planning for others. Values the bond with his teammates immensely, but is not above
Has an ongoing feud with Toy Blocks.
Toy Blocks The former recordkeeper for the petty crime group "The Ultimate Heist Crew."
The most levelheaded member of the team, she was responsible for keeping the team in check, though she has been less active post her elimination. Her tendency to get caught in minute details makes
She was formerly an object made of many disconnected pieces, but was transformed into a human after a strange and mysterious incident.
Has an ongoing feud with Padlock.
Go Sign A member of the petty crime group "The Ultimate Heist Crew." Has the anomalous ability to force anything in front of him to move forwards, although it is unaware of this.
A novice at robbery compared to the more experienced members of the Crew, his positive attitude is his greatest weapon. One day, he may even discover his hidden ability...
The first episode begins by showing various conversations between players of the server and the admins. As dying to Herobrine is, like, pretty unfair, many players ask them to either roll back or restart the server; however, because Herobrine can traverse through Minecraft servers, he would have the ability to enter any new world and repeat the event, making those methods ineffective. As such, the admins deem the server unplayable and close it indefinitely.
I'd sure like to bring it back, but I learned my lesson four years ago!
Against some opponents, you've gotta accept defeat.
YEAH DUDE. NOT POSSIBLE.
HEROBRINE IS REALLY SCARY TOO.
He is! I wouldn't want to have to see him any more than not at all!
SO, SORRY DUDES, BUT WE'RE STAYING OFFLINE.
It's just... I don't get how everyone latched onto this as the explanation.
Yeah guys, Herobrine is real, and he specifically attacked our Minecraft server because he hates us, and- and, Ciconia episode 2 is gonna come out, and
I mean...
I know you weren't there, but it was pretty convincing. Even if it wasn't literally Herobrine that killed us, there was definitely something.
I guess...
But shouldn't that mean we should try to find out what it was?
I dunno... I was having fun playing... and it's one of the only times I really get to talk to, to,
...n-nevermind. I just wish there was more of an effort. To get the server back
No, I get it.
It IS frustrating. I was having fun too, and it's annoying we can't convince the mods or anything.
A pause in the conversation.
You know, you're the only one who wasn't directly affected by Herobrine. That means you're kind of the most impartial party.
I guess so. Why?
Just thinking...
...maybe you should be the one to figure this out?
Chapter Zero: Fucked it up
The first major event of the White Eyes Incident is the sudden appearance of an E built out of glowstone[1] in the middle of spawn. Although there is nothing noteworthy about it on its own, all players deny having placed it, and it bears similarity to some instances of the Herobrine myth, where he places similar structures throughout a player's world.
Lemme pull up the chat logs...
Soon afterwards, Nurse Cap attempts to show off by performing a water bucket clutch[2]. She misclicks, becoming the first person to die on the server the day of the White Eyes Incident, and the only one unrelated to it.
...alright, it's pretty obvious that anyone could've built the glowstone thing...
Just gotta... find a mundane way all the actual deaths could've happened, I guess.
"Find a mundane way"? That seems awfully single-minded...
Wh-
Who's there? Where'd you come from!?
A mote of gold leaf seems to flit in the air, apparently unamused with Nurse Cap's behaviour.
To deny the existence of the supernatural, after our last outing...? I thought better of you!!!
After our last...
BEATRICE!?
Suddenly, the golden speck begins to swirl around the tired girl, joined by another spark, then another, then ten golden butterflies, then ten thousand more, as the room is filled with a blinding crackle of light that coallesces into...!
Kuhihihii!! Hell~o, Nurse Cap! It's been a while!
How are you doing? How have you been? What sort of food have you tried recently? Have you read any more Crime and Punishment? Been a while since you've borrowed it now! How's everything at ho—
Wait wait wait s, slow down!! What are you, like, doing here?!
Well, don't act so distant towards me now! Can't an old friend say hellooo?
I'm- I'm sorry...
Um, I guess I should say, I wasn't expecting you to involve yourself in something with other people... And, I mean, challenging my claim like that too...
It's like you want to start a Game involving them, or something...
Oooh, so you expect to face off against me?
I'm flattered, but this videogame you've gotten into fails to clear my standards. It's not moé at all...
Though it's true it's to do with your erroneous claim, someone more suited is expecting you. I believe you've made acquaintance?
.....
...who?
( what's up )> :D
:0??????
You two know each other?
We've made parlance, yes, and I've been teaching her a few of my tricks!
( yeah, we met back during the edit war )> ^^
She's a good conversationalist, if a bit... flat.
...is she really a good opponent for me, though? I didn't even think she could play Minecraft.
^^; <( i mean, i can't. unless you count being a sign painter as playing )
>:D <( but i assure you... )
>:3 <( i am more than qualified to be your opponent )
What the fuck????
Unlike you, Emoticon took to magic very quickly.
:0c <( you remember how this works, right? red truth is red truth, everything stated in red must be absolutely true? )
Y-yeah, I remember the rules, I guess.
So, you really wanna fight against me?
!:> <( listen, i gotta go up to bat for herobrine! we have a lot in common )
#^^ <( besides the immaterial entity stuff, people keep making hoaxes of both of us, and it makes everyone think we're not real! that sucks!!! )
>:3 <( so i am FULLY ready to defend my friend's existence, and proving you wrong is just a side effect of that. )
W-well, um...
Bring it on!!
I'm ready to deny him AND all your claims, if it gets the server back!!
Chapter One: Heroic retribution
Following her death, a funeral[Very sad][3] is held in Nurse Cap's honour, bringing every player to the same location. Afterwards, most of the players disperse, with The Computer leaving first. After entering her base, she complains about an odd structure that has mysteriously appeared. Before she is able to explain what it is, she is quickly killed by a stalactite[4].
Seeing the death message, every player rushes to The Computer's base. Upon breaking the iron door to get inside, they find her items scattered on the floor and a dropped stalactite, as well as a structure known online as the "Herobrine Shrine[5]" placed in the center of the room.
Assuming her death to be perpetrated by an outside source, the players realize it would have been impossible for the killer got in or out of the room: The Computer's base has only one entrance, an iron door that can only be opened from the inside; the door does not seem to have been tampered with and had to be broken in order for the other players to enter, and there are no other signs of blocks being broken or placed. Additionally, nobody is able to find evidence of a trap of any kind inside the base. Although a mundane explanation is possible (someone could have carefully broken and refilled a hole in the wall, for example,) multiple players were on the scene within seconds of the death and did not see or hear anything out of the ordinary. This is the first major piece of evidence that a supernatural entity is at play, with the current common understanding being that the shrine summoned Herobrine into the world, and that he is now acting maliciously.
Yeah, wait. How DID she die, according to you?
Did herobrine just spawn the stalactite or something?
( nonono )> u^.^u
( here's how it went down )> >:>
( TC saw the structure in her base and got upset, so she went to get rid of it, but herobrine didn't like that )> :P
( so herobrine KILLED her! )> <OoO>
No, that's totally wrong. Wouldn't she like, notice him? What with having, uhhh..
Like, she could basically be a cheat client if she wanted!
um
AUGH
so youre like half right but you started saying some stuff thats totally not true
so im gonna clarify it before you get too off track
i cant do what a cheat client does cuz that like. exploits the server/client stuff
so i cant like. fly. and i dont cuz thats unfair
but if i really want to i know a whole lot more than a human player would
for example. i COULD unfairly check for every player that my minecraft client knows about
but again i avoid checking stuff like that bc that wouldnt be fair and i wanna play fair with everyone
but as for playing "at tas level" i do obviously have a fast reaction time and all that
I guess that makes sense...
Wait, The C., if you're here, can't you just tell me what you saw?
yeah lmao
ur not gonna like it tho
i decided it was faster to just break the thing myself so i went to go mine it
when i approached i just died. didnt see what hit me even though i saw in the chat that it was a stalactite
tbh if i was checking i PROBABLY coulda seen if there was, say, someone behind me placing stuff
but bc i just assumed that the structures were people messing around i wasn't taking it seriously
thats probably why i got killed first tbh
I guess that makes sense...
How does the base work? Why's it so difficult to get in?
its got an iron door that only opens from the inside
and so someone would have to break into it to kill me
but yknow nobody could find anything like that
I guess that makes sense...
That doesn't rule out the possibility of it being a trap, though.
hmmm idk. i easily would have been able to tell if there was a tripwire or pressure plate or something
W-well, there's, like, SO many different kinds of traps in the game. Come on, it's such a simple explanation!
( yeah, which is why it's the first thing everyone already thought of )> UuU
( remember, everyone on the server looked in and around the base for signs of tampering, and not counting the shrine or stalactite, they couldn't find anything out of the ordinary! how'd this hypothetical killer fit a trap in there?? )> <:0c
Ghh,, I mean, nobody here is an EXPERT at the game. Maybe everybody missed something? That would explain how it got TC as well.
>L# <( wow, that's pretty mean )
!:^/ <( and also, contradictory. you're saying someone here set up this complicated trap, but nobody's good enough to do it? )
Well... uh.. (shit...)
Actually... does it have to have been someone we know of? I don't think anyone was keeping track of the player list the whole time.
Maybe, someone else joined the server with intent to grief us, and they were the one who set up this trap!
ohhhh shit. that makes sense we do have a lot of haters
( alright, so, an unknown individual you have no evidence of set up an unknown trap you have no evidence of )> <<?
It's still more likely than Herobrine! It makes perfect sense!!
Come on, um, prove me wrong with that red truth of yours!
l.l <( no )
You could've denied me properly, but you were all fancy with "everyone on the server". Doesn't that say enough? Doesn't that show you know my argument is right??
( oh my god!!! )> >:@
( it wasn't a trap! the killer was there and actually did something directly to kill the computer!!!! )> >X<
Tch...
Emoticon, dear, I understand that you're used to adding onto what people say...
...but do be careful with your tongue. You gave your opponent a good hint.
( whateverrrrrrr )> ..,
A good hint...
Hey, there are a lot of other contestants who, y'know, mess with technology... like, what if the server was invaded by, um, Image, or the Eater of Wikis, or, someone else I'm forgetting?
umu <( well, first off, i think image died )
!:/ <( second off: those answers aren't valid for your side! )
@N@ <( remember, you're arguing this point to convince the admins to bring back the server. if you say it was because of some Other unknowable unstoppable entity, that doesn't help your case )
Exactly. Blaming any entity which acts outside of the rules of this game is functionally identical to blaming Herobrine!!!
Shit, that's sound...
Well- um.. what counts as "the rules of this game?"
What if someone was- was regular hacking, or used glitches? Pretty common to exploit shit like that in Minecraft.
( that would be a really boring answer )> >:P
( i can promise, there were no glitche-
gl- -ggHGHHKDF HHKKJ-OWOWww what thFuck wait |
( there we go )> <<<<<"
( what the FUCK was that??? )> 0o@
Your carelessness shows your naivete...
If you attempt to use the red truth to speak a falsehood, you will choke. Be cautious with your words.
( wow. having a mouth must SUCK )> >:0
i know right
( i was tryna say "there were no glitches or hacking on the server" )> :P
( but i guess, like, stuff like tnt dupers[6] or whatever mean that's not TECHNICALLY true )> 8/
( so, uh....... )> :U
( nobody hacked into or modded the server, and no glitches or exploits were directly relevant to the white eyes incident itself )> u.u
( is THAT sufficient? )> >:?
I... I guess so, for now.
Hey, TC said she wasn't paying super close attention.
Are we, like, sure that nobody just broke in??
( like i said, no evidence of any changes to the base were found, other than the obvious )> B)
Well, are we sure they didn't just replace the blocks after killing her?
( that would've taken time! and there were soo many people on the scene right after!! )> <:<
also, yeah i wasnt paying super close attention, but i think i wldve heard someone breaking in lmao
Wwell... still..... it's possible...
If you missed the sound, and they were quick with it, it's totally possible for them to break a couple blocks, place a stalactite, break it, and leave!
/:/ <( c'mon, you're not gonna open the locked room with boring answers like that )
LL <( no block breaking was at all involved in the computer's death, save for the one segment of dripstone to directly kill her. happy? )
..........
She clicks her tongue.
The killer teleported in with an ender pearl, the killer followed The Computer through the door before she closed it, the killer opened the door from the outside using a power source, The Computer accidentally killed herself using dripstone and is lying about Herobrine.
hey!!
!:> <( no teleporting happened!! the killer definitely moved into and out of the room! because herobrine can tunnel through walls undetected, of course. the computer closed the door before anyone else could enter! nothing was placed on the outside of the room that was relevant to this death!!! and, the killing was definitely intentional, nor was it a suicide! )
Hm...
,,
Wtf happened, then??
^^ <( herobrine went in through the walls, summo
It's a room that-
ned some dripstone, and slaughtered her easily!! )
-that the killer went in and out of, but no blocks were broken or placed, and they didn't use the door...
Hold on. How does this base fucking work at all?
There's one door that you can't open from the outside? How do you get in??
its to stop people from coming in when im in
whenever i head out i just leave it open lol
......
Then, it's not a locked- a locked room at all!!
wait wdym
The killer could have hid inside the room before The Computer even got there, then she went in and closed the door and got killed!!!
( c'mon, she would've totally noticed someone hiding inside )> :P
yea im ngl i think i would have
( plus, no players were in the room before the computer entered! )> ^:V
Gah!!!!
This is SO simple. All you need is some way to quickly get in and out of the room without... without violating anything in red!
It's just annoying that I can't figure out what that way is.
kind of just describing a locked room there
^^c <( i suppose you've given up? )
No!! I mean...
I can't solve this right now, but if all I need is one little piece, I'm not gonna give up!
[maybe remove stuff after this?]
yeah might b worth it 2 like
strategic retreat for now, look at the other murders
see if you figure out anything new
Yeah. Yeah!!
( i'll count this as a win for me until then )> :0<

Chapter Two: Third case
Following the previous chapter, now that two deaths have happened and two strange builds have appeared in such quick succession, the server is on edge, and many players begin to suspect each other of killing. Taking advantage of this distrust, Padlock, Go Sign, Sock Hater, and Toy Blocks plan to steal the structure that was in The Computer's base, as it is both important and made of gold. They easily sneak into the base, with nobody left alive to defend it. The members of the Ultimate Heist Crew mine out the structure, collect all of The Computer's dropped items (save her iron boots), steal as many valuables from her chests as possible.
Once UHC returns to the UHCHCHC[7], the group begins to organize their stolen loot. The members of the team argue briefly over who gets to keep what. At the same time, Dora finds another unexplainable structure: a long tunnel dug into a cave with redstone torches lining the walls. She keeps this knowledge secret from the members of UHC, suspicious of their actions surrounding The Computer.
Before they are able to fully put everything away, a massive hole suddenly and inexplicably opens up beneath the UHCers. Everyone dies of fall damage, except for Toy Blocks, who successfully water bucket clutches at the bottom. However, she doesn't get a chance to explore or figure out what happened, as Herobrine kills her using an explosion shortly afterwards.
So is that it, or...?
Like, fall damage?
...
I'm not sure what the trick is here, but dying of fall damage isn't... supernatural, is it??
( it is though!! )> >_>
( think about it, they were in the base already, not anywhere near a cliff or whatever )> :V
( but suddenly, a MASSIVE hole appears beneath their feet )> <0o0>
( it's like the entire chunk was removed at once! how do you explain that?? )> ?:?
Okay, but that just means there was, um, a trap or something, right?
Like, just set up some TNT under them and shit, right? Pack a bunch in there. Like, uhm, a piston mechanism, with TNT at the bottom.
I guess that leaves the last one though, damn... There isn't a player named Herobrine on the server, is there?
I, I mean, everyone would have seen them join...
:? <( ummm. yeah )
^^; <( that theory only really works for the falling part )
>;) <( also: no redstone dust, redstone blocks, nor redstone torches were used to kill the UHCers, both as blocks, AND as crafting components! )
:/ <( i'm not gonna let you try to come up with stupid redstone trap-X's for the entire battle )
For both types of deaths?! Kill me already...
( that's what the red truth says )> :P
Okay, sure...
I mean... it's not like you HAVE to use redstone to blow someone up. Like, you could manually activate TNT, or use end crystals, or whatever.
O, Oh! End crystals! It isn't redstone but it explodes!!
That's how Toy Blocks was blown up!
-_- <( well duh. herobrine placed the end crystals or whatever and blew up toy blocks )
... That's... fucking stupid... but...
Back to the falling part. Maybe a command block or something? Like, /fill would accomplish this, right?
>:/ <( no! no commands were used for the entire white eyes incident! )
>:< <( feel like that should basically fold into "no exploits" or whatever... )
ok cool sure hfglhdfghbdgvfkmkhh
It's really hard to think of anything when I barely know what happened...
hey uh
why not just. ask the victims
Idk.
Not ENTIRELY sure.
It was such a blur!
.....
What.... um..
Uh,,
jesus christ why do i have to talk to people
Our heist had gone perfectly... but alas!
We've never had a heist fail before[8], dude! This "Herobrine" really is a tough one.
Yeah, I mean, I'm kinda pissed we lost all that progress...
...but it's kind of awesome that, y'know, the only way we could be beaten was supernaturally.
Well, I-I'm, kind of trying to, prove that false, so...
It's weird he even wanted to kill us. I'm really not the type to be haunted.
Clearly, retaliation for our theft... never this vengeful a target has been our opponent!
So,, none of you know anything,?
I mean, I guess I saw a little more...
When we placed down the shrine, there was this weird sound, like-
Right!! A bunch of blocks suddenly breaking!
-.
And then, the floor suddenly all broke around us, and everyone died.
Except me!!
I water bucketed at the bottom of the pit, but there wasn't anything there that I could see.
And then I blew up and died.
Hmm...
I don't really know if that's useful, but...
I mean,, that sure makes it sound like a weird trap, and not something supernatural.
Maybe the real killer just built-
Nah, it can't have been planned ahead.
If it really WAS a trap, how'd they know we were gonna steal the shrine and then bring it to that specific room of our base?
Exactly! Never underestimate the power inaction can bring to a crime scene!
If you are unsure who to target, you wait until the target presents itself, and THEN you strike!
and so the logic is. only herobrine wld be able to do something like that quickly and easily
...
I don't know, Padlock, Leader of the Ultimate Heist Crew, how could the culprit have guessed that you were going to steal a shiny gold thing?
I resent that.
Besides, if the culprit had a trap set up, they would just have to wait until the first instance of all of you being in that room. Which happened to be pretty quick.
But, how do you explain my death!
Well, there isn't a "Herobrine" player to set off the end crystals...
Therefore, the trickery lies in being able to change what appears in chat...
How about... A renamed mob was able to set off the explosives in such a way to where the mobs name was able to appear in chat.
In fact, with renamed mobs, it's possible nobody was killed at all!
:? <( woah woah WOAH don't get ahead of yourself )
:P <( the players go sign, padlock, sock hater, and toy blocks are all dead! )
Looks like you got me...
Except for the fact that you totally skipped past the theory that a renamed mob was Herobrine!
:/ <( so... remind me how your theory goes, top to bottom )
The hole was created using some sort of trap, causing three of the UHCers to fall to their deaths. Then, a renamed mob set off an end crystal, killing Toy Blocks!
;) <( and what kind of trap was it? no redstone, remember? )
...
Hey, Padlock, what is the floor in your base MADE of?
Spruce planks, with black carpet covering them.
...
So, hypothetically, if all of the blocks below your base were replaced with carpet, you wouldn't be able to tell, right
D: <( you CAN'T be serious!!! That's way too many blocks to replace! )
{{{3}}}
Yeah, wait, that's TOTALLY it.
;) <( hold it! hold it! For a trap that involves setting off a chain reaction of blocks breaking, someone would have to set that off manually! )
Well, I'm sure ONE of these alibis is flimsy... Maybe Noah?
:/ <( Noah was in his base at the time of these deaths! )
:) <( in fact, because this is tedious, I'll just do the rest like this: Dora and Diffuer had alibis! They were far away in a tunnel! )
:D <( and of course, The Computer is dead! )
You've gotta be-
... I know I'm so close though...
... Why don't we take a little bit of a break now that we're at the halfwaypoint.
Intermission
Man, I don't get it.
What's Emoticon's stake in this anyways? I don't really buy her earlier excuse.
oh no shes for sure hiding her real motive
AUGH AGAIN
I don't know how you keep getting me like this. But it is fishy, right?
like she is hiding her true reason that much is obvious to me
but i dont think its anything sinister
like, its just a video game. and a logic battle. the stakes arent that high
Well duh. But like, what does she gain from this?
If it wasn't literally impossible for her to play minecraft, I would just say that she's the culprit.
...
thats right, she cant really press buttons on a keyboard or anything like that
but i wouldnt say she isnt participating in the server at all
But it's literally impossible for her to play! She doesn't even have a body!
N-no offense,
lol dw
but what i mean is that theres a reason that emoticon is your opponent here and not that witch lady
like, what does it mean to be a gamer?
To be highly skilled at video games, or at least well-versed.
how would you measure that? like, for a specific game how could you define that skill?
Hmm... Well, I guess you could do that in two ways. Your execution, and your knowledge of the game itself.
Like, the difference between labbing a combo and actually using it in a match, to speak my own language if I may.
Oh! So, like, even though Emoticon has zero execution skill, she's showing off her knowledge of the game?
ooh i think you might be onto something
i feel like showing off is the wrong word for it though?
...not sure I get what you mean.
doesnt rly matter rn
lets get back to crimesolving

Chapter Three: Moving in stasis
Noah decides to take matters into his own hands, despite the accusations from the other survivors. He temporarily leaves his self-proclaimed impenetrable base in order to deliver justice to herobrine. Or at least, investigate Herobrine's motives.
Dora discusses the strange tunnel she found with Diffuser, unsure of its purpose, when Noah arrives from his base. Noah explains that he's using an enderpearl stasis chamber[9] set on a timer, allowing him to exit his base for a short period of time before he automatically returns, assuring that he has an out if anything goes wrong.
Dora, curious about the tunnel, and Noah, wanting to confront Herobrine, head down the redstone torch tunnel. After a little while [], Noah is suddenly teleported back to his base earlier than he set the timer. Before either he or Dora can figure out what happened, both are suddenly killed by a massive explosion.
well, I don't think so.
it doesn't make sense to kill the ultimate heist crew (all evildoers) and then me (paragon of justice) right.
Unless maybe it's a scary unthinking monster.
But, the killer seemed to act both emotionally and smart...ly.
They only went after people who messed with their stuff, and did it in a way they couldn't be found.
it's really easy to get messed up with names is the thing.
like, with me and Evil Noah, and all the other noahs. I'm the coolest and strongest and best one but we all have to share a name, right?
And if you think we're all the same (which we aren't, because he's evil,) and then you tried to fight "Noah," you might be way overprepared or underprepared for where he scales.
- well clearly this is related to the nametagging hostile mob thing from earlier
- but also, this has to have been built so far in advance
- some other stuff
Wait, this stuff with names is important.
?:?
Like, my whole logic here is you can nametag a hostile mob and make it show up in chat.
But, um,...
Nurse Cap quickly types something into her computer.
Yeah!! If you- if you nametag a pet, like a dog or cat or whatever, then it dies, it ALSO shows up in chat!!
( hm? )> :3<
( i'm not following, sorry )> u.u"
Well, you confirmed the deaths of Noah and Dora and the UCH- UHCers, right? But not The Computer!!
S-so, maybe, her death was actually just a fucking cat or something dying, and that leaves her alive to... set up something else, I dunno.
wouldnt that make ME herobrine
XD <( could you fucking imagine?? )
wtf lol. the accusation after i'm helping you
I meAN, maybe you were just an accomplice... or like,,
I'm just. Covering all my bases.
(o>o) <( no. theComputeHer is absolutely and definitively dead )
^^; <( but honestly, good catch there. i should've used that for some trick )
Tch...
Chapter Four: Open warehouse
As the only player left on the server, Diffuser takes it upon themself to explore each crime scene in detail, expecting to be killed quickly. They first check down the tunnel that Dora and Noah went down, finding a massive crater but nothing else of note.
Assuming all the evidence was destroyed, Diffuser then heads to Noah's IMPENETRABLE BASE to break into it. This takes several minutes. Once inside, they find that the inside of the base is strangely pristine, no broken blocks or other signs of damage despite the fact that Noah died due to an explosion. An activated enderpearl stasis chamber is in the corner of the room, with Noah's items scattered on the ground around it.
Taking Noah's gear for better protection, they head to the UHCHC to find the Herobrine shrine floating above a hole in the floor. At the bottom of the pit, there is another large crater with no useful evidence for them to find.
Over the course of this chapter, Diffuser becomes more and more convinced that another being is with them, as they know they're the only person left on the server and that they didn't kill anyone. Strangely, while exploring the crater in UHCHC's base, they are killed by Herobrine in an unknown manner.
...yeah, I dunno. I really didn't see much of note.
I guess I know there weren't other traps being set up, that I could find!
Well...
This killing seems pretty easy, honestly.
how so
W-well, my previous idea with the UHCers was- it was a skeleton or something, right?
So, if that skeleton was still alive, or another one was set up... Diffuser heads to that hole, gets hit by "Herobrine," and then....
...you know. Falls into lava and dies.
was there like
lava for them to fall into
There was lava there when I died yeah.
Uhh... honestly, I don't remember if it was there before, lol. But it'd make sense if it was, right?
You blow a big hole in the ground, suddenly there's lava!
Yeah, exactly.
There's lava, you got hit by a mob and fell into it.
Well I didn't, like. SEE the mob. And I was paying SUPER close attention!!!
maybe you paid so super close attention that you didnt notice the guy behind you
Yeah!! If- if you were just a little bit careless, this explanation makes perfect sense!
Doesn't it, Emoticon??
( ...not gonna say anything for now )> ):P
Of course not.
But ME??
Honestly, I- I think I know how this whole incident went down...!
Aftermath
Once Diffuser dies, there is nobody left on the server, and it is left open for less than a day. Many alternate explanations for the White Eyes Incident are circulated (most centered around either Noah or the Ultimate Heist Crew.) However, since the incident affected everybody equally and no satisfying explanations are presented, the overwhelming consensus is that Herobrine really was the culprit, leading to Mike and Spike deciding not to bring the server back.
Although it is never stated in chat, after many of the players report occasionally seeing a pair of glowing white eyes staring at them in the dark[10], leading to wiki editors calling it the "White Eyes Incident".
As the only player to never witness anything out of the ordinary, Nurse Cap remains unconvinced. Her connection to the server and desire for answers lead her to take it upon herself to prove the nonexistence of Herobrine. Emoticon (a character introduced in the final section of the episode) takes it upon herself to deny Nurse Cap's claims, feeling a kinship with Herobrine and desire to take part in the game. Aided by the Golden Witch Beatrice and The Computer, Emoticon and Nurse Cap engage in a logic battle to determine the true nature of the White Eyes Incident, marking the end of the first episode.
dude wtf
=== Mechanical
- nurse cap figures out the mechanical solution to each puzzle, they all just require someone to be there
- emoticon is like "ohh shit ok i won't deny these for now. but who did it?"
- both that nurse cap feels weird directly accusing someone but also. red truth is used to point out that literally everybody has a confirmed location when each murder happens, and they're not anywhere near
- bunch of solutions that keep getting shot down and get increasingly desperate
Then- then maybe
What if some of your "red truths" were actually maroon truths!!
RED TRUTH IS RED TRUTH! To deny it is to deny the very nature of the game itself!!
The game which, I remind you, is being played for your benefit!
- nurse cap realizes "oh shit wait you said 'theComputeHer is dead' and not 'the player the computer' like everyone else. so maybe that old solution is still valid"
( oh my god!! i'm sorry for using natural language!!!! )> XP
( y'know what?? )> >:<
( lemme make this as clear as possible for you. make sure i REALLY communicate the truth of this argument )> uwu

Epilogue
you good?
S, Sorry, yeah, just, umm...
I don't understand why she's being... Like... Such a bitch??
mhm...
And uhm, I KNOW it's stupid to be caring about this this much, but like,,
I dunno... Emoticon can't play on the server, the hell does she care what happens to it?
Hitting me with some tough shit like that... Why doesn't she want anyone playing??
i mean. i doubt her intent is to stop you from playing minecraft
like .. i dont think she's a bully
shes not doing this just to piss ppl off
its like what we were talking about before, with her knowledge of the game
So then she's just showing off?
You said that wasn't totally right, though.
mhm
i think a better way to put it is just... having fun
i dont think she can do that a lot.
she doesnt get to do shit with people yknow. she doesnt get to grab food or go outside or play minecraft
...
and i. get that
... I- I get it too. Uh, but, not in exactly the same way...
lol yeah
and so when you watch everyone having fun and doing whatever and you wanna join in, youve gotta find some other way
if you can only talk thru text then its easy to insert yourself as part of a story
<^v- grahhh change these lines ithink
and so you play the part of the villain messing everyone up. and everyone pays attention to you and has fun tryna defeat you and whatever
its like. a way to play the game on the same level
and its low stakes, and if they beat you, no harm done
...it's low stakes, yeah.
So she just wanted to play a game...
Uhm... Well... In a way, i, it's been fun playing against her...
yeah :D
S, Still out of pocket for her to try and shut down the server though lmao.
i mean
she wasn't the one acting as herobrine
...huh.
I guess she wasn't.
also did you just say lmao out loud
Trivia
- Even after Diffuser's death, there is still one message that appears in chat afterwards:
- No players are online at the time this message displays, meaning it does not factor into their logic or reasoning.
