Indigo is the sixth color of the rainbow. Depending on who you ask, it's basically blue or purple or violet. Indigo is also a plant that was farmed for its dye.

History

Indigo was invented by Big Color to sell more colors. Historians presume it could have also been made up by Roy G. Biv to justify that pesky i in his last name. For a real life example, please press control and p on your keyboard.
