Katamari

The katamari is the seed-containing pod of the tobacco plant. It is adorned with feisty bumps and spikes that allow it to cling to rocky walls and smooth surfaces. If disturbed, the katamari will self-destruct in a final attempt to disperse its seeds far and wide. The seeds are ejected at speeds up to 230 mph, strong enough to pierce a steel hull. Particularly downward-facing seeds will embed themselves up to 20 feet into the ground. In an undisturbed state, the katamari will roll, easily pushed by breezes. Rolling katamari have a tendency to pick up debris.
The katamari's rolling proficiency makes it a keystone species for the dispersal of other plants and fungi. Due to the katamari's violent reactions, most animals instinctually avoid it, providing a safe haven for lighter insects from predators. This impact makes it one of the 92 Wonders of the Natural World.
