Wikilandian Professional Baseball

Wikilandian Professional Baseball (WPB) is the organization that oversees professional baseball in Wikiland. It consists of 12 leagues with 15 teams each, accounting for a total of 180 teams. Of those teams, one is in New Columbia while the other is in Keine Robben. Similarly, all of the 166 groves have a team. The organization is led by the Commissioner. They are doing a great job.

Among sports in Wikiland, baseball ranks second, behind football and in front of American football. The atmosphere at WPB games is comparable to those of Nippon Professional Baseball in Japan. Fans beat drums, blare trumpets, and chant and clap throughout the game. The crowd always bursts into celebration whenever the home team scores a home run.

The 12 leagues are the Burning League, Pillar League, Roach League, Grave League, Video League, Scuba League, Key League, Fluke League, Janitor League, Zero League, Drum League, and Horsey League. To the fans, the naming scheme is still a mystery...

Every team has a clubhouse with a lounge and stuff in or around the city centre where the players hang out, as well as a couple of adjacent practice fields. The clubhouses are all situated by a bus stop so the team can go straight from the clubhouse to the team bus, which either transports them to the home ballpark or the airport. Supporters willing to cheer their team on during away games can join them at the airport.

Uniforms

Each team traditionally has a white home uniform and a grey away uniform, though in many games, alternate uniforms bearing the team colours, identity, and connection to the city are worn. An exception is Blacklisted baseball team, who wears black shirts every game.
