The Daily Object Show is a Wikilandian comedy talk and news podcast hosted by Diffuser. Typical episodes of the podcast feature interviews with notable Wikilandian objects, skits satirizing topical events, and the fan-favorite lawyer-despised Debate or Suffocate section. The Daily Object Show has received critical acclaim from that one guy in your school's journalism club who uses a Google Pixel and whose diet is primarily composed of KIND bars. And when it comes to podcasts, their opinion is the only one that really matters.
Contrary to its name, The Daily Object Show actually airs weekly. It is frequently confused with the similarly-titled reality show The Weekly Object Show for this reason. Except that show actually airs yearly so it's often confused with The Yearly Object Show which actually uploads daily. Fake fans frequently get fuddled by this and decide to settle for The Monthly Object Show, which really does air monthly and is generally considered a healthy middle ground.
History
Development
The Daily Object Show was inspired by Diffuser's early life in their Trickshot fulfillment house. Using those smiling boxes workers tossed around the warehouse, Diffuser would often cut holes in the bottom of some of them and pretend they were on a nightly talk show. Of course, their selection of guests was quite limited, and the fate of the show was sealed after one of their recurring stars mysteriously left. While this forced Diffuser to exit primetime, the experience invigorated their passion for podcasting. Upon their escape from Donut's house, they decided to dedicate their new life towards broadcasting their incredible inspiring invigorating story of how they sat around waiting on a shelf for a long time.
Production
The first season of the podcast was recorded in the spring of 2019, while the first episodes were uploaded on June 8th of that year. In an interview with Diffuser on The Daily Object Show Show podcast, Diffuser recounts the difficulties of realizing this initial batch of episodes. They specifically cite not knowing how to record in Audacity, not knowing how to play back recordings in Audacity, and not knowing how to save files in Audacity as major setbacks that nearly made them quit podcasting. However, Diffuser was able to use the skills in persistence they picked up on in the warehouse to try and figure out Audacity, before giving up and asking LiSt to be their audio guy instead.
Diffuser also cites how expensive it could get to feature guests, recalling how there were “only so many times one could beg and groan ‘come onnnn….’” Most of these growing pains generally occurred behind the scenes, and Diffuser was nonetheless pleased with how their first season turned out.
Network changes
During the first season, The Daily Object Show aired on the Wherever You Get Your Podcasts app. However, in 2020, Diffuser entered into an exclusivity contract with the good folks at Two Tin Cans With A String Tied Between. Unfortunately, this resulted in viewership plummeting after COVID-19 slowed the wholesale of tin cans. In 2022, the contract expired, and the podcast is once again available on Wherever You Get Your Podcasts, along with a new video podcast available to watch on YouTube.
Format
Each episode of The Daily Object Show follows a standard format consisting of interviews and skits.
Interviews
The primary portion of each episode consists of an interview with a notable soulful object. Notability is decided by if the object has been in the news recently, made a Viral Tweet, is competing in The Wiki Camp 2, kinda sorta just walked on stage, or venmoed Diffuser a notable amount of cash. In the first season, these interviews were exclusively conducted with Wikilandian objects. In subsequent seasons, this expanded to include objects from the neighboring Yoyleland as well.
Diffuser's interviewing style has gained particular notoriety for their ability to make tough questions sound friendly, resulting in more honest and danging responses than on any other podcast. One time Diffuser absolutely grilled McDonald’s Sweet n’ Sour Sauce over the McDonald's Okinberry Incident. Then they owned Paper Niko by asking him how his day was (he was speechless).
Despite the risk of falling victim to Diffuser's interview prowess and being absolutely humiliated, Diffuser still gets plenty of people who request to be on the show due to how many people tune in every week to see a famous person completely annihilate their credibility and the exposure they receive afterwards. I guess there's no such thing as bad press?
Solo Skits
Everyone just skips these parts. Including us. We have no idea what they actually entail. No one has had the heart to tell Diffuser that yet.
Debate or Suffocate
Everyone's favorite part of the show, the Debate and Suffocate section is a definitive test of wits. After the solo skits, Diffuser brings the guest back on the show and locks them in a chamber with no food, water, or ventilation. Diffuser then diffuses mustard gas within the confined area while asking the interviewee trivia questions about trendy and fun topics. The guest is only released after they have answered them all. A lot of people say this sounds scary but it's actually trendy and fun. Guests come on the show solely to participate in Debate or Suffocate because it is trendy and fun.
April Fools
During each week of April Fools' Day, the podcast records a special episode themed around dinosaurs. Dubbed The Dinosaur Object Show, these episodes abandon the traditional talk format of a typical episode, instead taking on the tone of a reality show as Diffuser commentates over a fake competition among objects based on dinosaurs. In 2021, contestants were instead dinosaurs based on objects, though this was a highly contested move among fans and the concept was never revisited in future April Fools episodes. It is hypothesized that the focus on dinosaurs is a reference to something Diffuser said during one of their skits. Unfortunately, we will never know, as our scientists fall asleep while listening to 5-10 minutes of those.

Episodes
The Daily Object Show currently has 4 seasons, with a total of 124 episodes.
Notable Guests
With so many episodes, Diffuser has interviewed some interesting guests. Portions of their interviews have been transcribed below.
Bean Sprout
Diffuser begins the interview with a hearty "how have you BEAN!" to the dismay of everybody. They then go "I've BEAN pretty good!" before Bean Sprout can respond to the dismay of everybody. When Bean and Sprout answer, Diffuser realizes they're two separate entities and goes "so that's what it's BEAN all aSPROUT!" to the dismay of everybody. They're not good at picking up on this sort of thing.
Big Boy
A quaint little chat over tea and crumpets. Five million dollars were spent in set repairs after the derailment of the Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 that suspiciously happened right before recording.
Biscuit Tin
Diffuser asks what Biscuit Tin's favorite kind of biscuits are. He says birthday cake Oreos. Diffuser asks what Biscuit Tin's least favorite kind of biscuits are. He says fig rolls. Finally, Diffuser asks what's inside of Biscuit Tin. He says sewing supplies. It will never not be sewing supplies.
Bullseye
Diffuser treats Bullseye as a representative of the Yarget corporation. They ask her if they feel Amazon is a considerable threat to the company. She scoffs and says not until they have a dog mascot. Diffuser mentions that they do have a dog mascot now. Bullseye breaks down, for she realizes how her hubris has caused her downfall. An insightful interview for the podcast's many business listeners.
Cake pop!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Diffuser learned that As a sweetener, HFCS is often compared to granulated sugar, but manufacturing advantages of HFCS over sugar include that it is easier to handle and cheaper. "HFCS 42" and "HFCS 55" refer to dry weight fructose compositions of 42% and 55% respectively, the rest being glucose. HFCS 42 is mainly used for processed foods and breakfast cereals, whereas HFCS 55 is used mostly for production of soft drinks.
Cellphone
Diffuser asks Cellphone what her thoughts on flippable smartphones are. She says they represent a half-hearted attempt at cashing in on nostalgia while accelerating planned obsolescence in a stagnant consumer technology landscape that is paradoxically composed of products which are more disposable than ever made of natural resources we will never replenish. Cellphone says her favorite game is Brick Breaker.
Christmas Techo Scarf
You would never guess what their favorite Neopet was before their interview.
Daisy
A long interview about her upcoming series, Epic Battle of Darkness. The plot will either be a competition show, fighting the weird shadow people Diffuser sees every night, a mix of both, or a slow-burn A24 slice of life film about the summer of two high school seniors who grew up in the suburbs and are dealing with this transitory point in their lives. Daisy mentioned her invention of a new stylistic animation technique, kittyvision, for the series. When asked what it looks like, she said she’s still working that out but promised it will be “awesome”.
Dora
Diffuser and Dora talked over a game of mahjong. But screw that because then she pulled out The Controller Where You Press The Button To The Beat Of The Corresponding Note and showed off their SICK DDR SKILLS that Diffuser never realized listeners couldn’t see. This episode is often considered one of the biggest blunders in the history of the podcast.
Duplo
After Diffuser questions Duplo about their charges for destroying public property during one of their parkour sessions, they throw the question back at them, telling Diffuser “i’m nonbinary what’s your excuse”. Diffuser is so stunned by this they forget that they are also nonbinary and therefore have an excuse as well.
Head of Lettuce
The theme of this interview were the rumors about the foundation of a potential We're Throwing A Party, and You're Not Invited Party that combines the political parties of various Wiki Camp 2 contestants. Head of Lettuce was unable to confirm or deny these rumors, instead making a constant attempt to redirect the conversation back to thons current presidential campaign. There was a lot of shouting during this interview and not much was accomplished.
In a Nutshell
Diffuser begins the interview with a hearty "how have you BEAN!” before they realize oh crap that’s In a Nutshell and goes uuhhhh describe to me IN A NUTSHELL how you have BEAN. This impresses nobody.
Lost Artifact
Hey, if they’re so lost, how were they able to find their way to the studio?
McDonald’s Sweet n’ Sour Sauce
No punches were held back during this interview as Diffuser grilled them on the McDonald’s Okinberry Incident. McDonald's Sweet n' Sour Sauce attempted to explain that they no longer represent the McDonald’s corporation and they cannot speak on behalf of Ronald McDonald but come on that wouldn’t make for a good episode. After dodging all their questions, a frustrated Diffuser said under their breath that they don’t like McDonald's Sweet n' Sour Sauce. Since that episode, Diffuser has mentioned how they have felt just a tad bit older.
Multiball
Much of the interview was focused on finding out what object Multiball actually is. They look sort of like a dumbbell, but sideways. Maybe one of those atomic structure diagrams you'd see in a high school science classroom? Or perhaps a stick person wearing really round pants? But, wait, can humans or humanoid figures be considered "objects" and thus qualify for an interview on The Daily Object Show? Diffuser asks listeners to go on the talk page for the podcast's article to discuss.
Fictional charcter
You're not making that question any easier.
Padlock
Diffuser tries to crack Padlock's code. Despite there only being 16 possible combinations, popping the lock is harder than anyone would have thought. While Diffuser does this, they ask Padlock about his previous life, what he was locked onto, what secrets he protects, what NDAs he's under, and generally similar information that should be made widely available to the public.
Paper Niko
He was speechless, as previously mentioned.
Sock Hater
The question burning at the forefront of every Wikilandian's mind finally gets briefly mentioned in passing: why does Sock Hater do that (hate Sock)? Sock Hater replies with a laugh and teases Diffuser for asking such a seemingly obvious question. Diffuser doesn't get it at first, but quickly begins to understand Sock Hater's wrath after thinking about it for a few seconds and the topic is never brought up again.
TheLegend27
Diffuser asks, what are you guys playing? Diffuser asks, is it TheLegend27? Diffuser asks about the various urban legends surrounding TheLegend27, including the myth that she was the first Game of War player ever, that she can hurl a boulder farther than a catapult, and that she once defeated an entire army with a single blow.
Lost Episode
…one day the “cyanide” ad will resurface in some commercial compilation.
The Daily Object Show. In 2019, the first episode of the talk podcast, The Daily Object Show, aired to critical acclaim and widespread success. Running for 4 seasons across 124 episodes, the series stars Diffuser and their interviews with notable objects across Wikilandia. However, beneath this show's success hides a skeleton Diffuser would prefer to be kept in the closet.
In a forum post titled “Anyone remember this Daily Object Show interview?", Lost Media Wiki user FranticBill recalls a 2020 episode of the podcast in which Diffuser gets in contact with [THE ZEITGEIST]. The OP writes:
"I've been trying to look for this one episode of The Daily Object Show. I remember listening to it around the summer of 2020, right around the height of covid when Diffuser did phone interviews instead of flying people in. The episode specifically starred [THE ZEITGEIST]. I remember there being a conversation about Wikipedia, and the Debate of Suffocate section was focused on wiki trivia. I skipped the skit part which seems like a bad idea in hindsight. Anyone else remember this? My memory on the details tend to change so I'd appreciate it if other fans chimed in."
Other longtime fans replied to the post with their own recollections of the episode. Some remember the conversation being more themed around sports: specifically, football. Many also recalled poor audio quality on [THE ZEITGEIST]'s end of the line, with the consensus generally being that the episode was taken down due to the recording being incomprehensible at times.
Despite all these reports, the search has yet to have led anywhere meaningful. Diffuser has been frustratingly unresponsive on the topic, and [THE ZEITGEIST] is notoriously difficult to find records of online. Maybe the episode will turn up in an mp3 file online someday, but that's starting to seem more and more unlikely.

Trivia
- To prepare for interviews, Diffuser argues with their shampoo bottles while taking showers.
- Sometimes the bottles win.
- Sometimes they absolutely own the bottles and cause them to walk out of the interview which is way less lame.
- Diffuser likes the smell of mustard gas and thinks it's just another essential oil.
- Diffuser once got arrested for sharing their mustard gas recipe on the show.
- A running gag on the show is Diffuser's constant attempts to get Donut on the show, to little success. What a chicken!
- The “Murray scene” in the 2019 thriller film Joker was based on an episode of The Daily Object Show where shots were fired after a heated interview with Ponsuke the Silly Seal. Thankfully, plastic is bulletproof[citation needed], so we can all laugh it off and say that scene happened to our buddy Diffuser.
